Hot Air Balloon Punch Art Card

I received this Hot Air Balloon card as a swap at the Stampin’ Up! 2013 Convention.  It was fairly easy to make.  I did make a couple of small changes when I cased her design.  We made it at my Stamp Class last Friday.  My customers loved it!  Have fun making one of your own!

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Score and fold your card base at 4-1/4″.  Adhere Baked Brown Sugar and Coastal Cabana card stock to card front.
2.  Big Shot & Embossing Folders.  So Saffron card stock with Perfect Polka Dot and the 2″ Crisp Cantaloupe strip with the Fancy Fan.
3.  Adhere your embossed So Saffron card stock to your card front as shown using Tombow Glue.
4.  Punch three Cupcake tops using the Build a Cupcake Punch and your 1-1/2″ strip of Whisper White card stock.  Adhere in desired positions with Tombow Glue.
5.  Balloon.  Punch a 1-3/4″ Circle and a Large Oval from your embossed Crisp Cantaloupe strip of card stock.  Sponge using Crisp Cantaloupe ink and a 1/6 wedge of Stamping Sponge.  (Some people cut their sponges into 8 pieces.  I prefer cutting mine into 6 pieces.  Choose the size you like best.)  Sponge more ink around the edges.  Sponge enough ink on the rest of the circle and oval to highlight the embossed design.  Layer the Oval onto the Circle with Dimensionals.  Set Balloon aside while you make the Basket.
6.  Balloon Basket.  Stamp desired Cupcake bottom in Baked Brown Sugar ink on your 1″ Baked Brown Sugar card stock strip.  Punch out with the Build a Cupcake Punch.
7.  Balloon Assembly.  Lay Basket stamped side down.  Lay Balloon front side down.  Put Glue Dots on the Basket corners along the zig-zag edge.  Put Glue Dots on the back of the Balloon on either side of where the Oval Punch is on the front side.  Place one 1-1/2″ piece of your Baker’s Twine starting on the Balloon and going on to the Basket leaving the desired length showing.  I left just over 1/4″ showing.  Repeat with the second piece of Baker’s Twine.  You can now put Dimensionals on the back of the Balloon, making sure to cover the Glue Dots and Baker’s Twine ends.  I just used Glue Dots on my Basket, making sure to cover the Glue Dot and Baker’s Twine Ends OR you can just add a Dimensional.  Adhere in desired position leaving room for the Word Window Sentiment.
8.  Stamp the Happy Birthday from Create a Cupcake stamp set (or use Teeny Tiny Wishes) in Baked Brown Sugar Ink on Whisper White card stock.  Punch out with the Word Window Punch.  Adhere with SNAIL or Tombow Glue.
9.  Admire your fun Hot Air Balloon card!

Happy Stamping and Punching!
