Watercolor Sunrise at the Beach Card

SUPPLIES:

Coloring Tools:
Watercolor Pencils #141709
Blender Pens #102845
Cardstock: Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper #149612
Bermuda Bay
Adhesive: Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

INSTRUCTIONS:

1-Cut Your Papers:

~Bermuda Bay Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
~Watercolor Paper: Cut in half at 3-1/2″ x 5″

2-Coloring on your Watercolor Paper:

~You can draw a light outline of each section. This way you can erase and change if you want.
~Just color the different sections with your Watercolor Pencils covering them well. Make sure the edges touch.

~Sand: Early Espresso. Leave room in the center for some water. Color about 1″ high x 2″ wide on each side. This will leave about 3/4″ at the bottom to 1-1/4″ for the center Water section.
~Water: Bermuda Bay. Color between the Sand and all the way across about 3/8″ on top of the Sand.
~Water/sky: Pacific Point. Color about 3/8″ on top of the Bermuda Bay Water.
~Sun: Pumpkin Pie. Color a half Circle for your Sun. Mine is about 1-1/2″ wide and 1/2″ high.
~Sun Rays: Pumpkin Pie. Your Sun Rays will be narrower where they touch the sun and wider at the edge of the paper.
~Sky between the Sun Rays: Calypso Coral. Lightly color between the Sun Rays.

3-“Watercoloring with your Blender Pen:

NOTE 1: Blender Pens come in a pack of three, and are colorless.
~ “Blend” Watercolor Pencils and Stampin’ Write Markers
~These are NOT Stampin’ Blends.

NOTE 2: Cleaning:
~Clean your Blender Pen Tip after each color.
~If you move from a lighter to darker hue of the same color you do not need to clean between colors.
~Draw squiggly lines on your scratch paper to remove the color.
~Clean all sides of the tip by rotating it as you draw.
~The Tip may stain.
~Your Tip is clean if the color is clear on your scratch paper.

NOTE 3: Blender Pen Coloring Directions.
~ I colored the same direction I colored with my Watercolor Pencils. You can experiment using different strokes for a different look.
~Use the Blender Pen to blur the lines. Blend the lines to get the look you want.

~Watercolor your Sand sections first. Clean your Blender Pen tip.
~Water & Sky sections: Color the Water starting at the bottom edge of the Paper and move your way up to color the water all the way across. Blend each section to get the look you want. You can color the Pacific Point Water/Sky without cleaning your Blender Pen. Clean your Blender Pen.

~Blend the color in between the Sun Rays. Move on and Blend your Sun & Rays.
~Sun & Rays: Blend the coloring of your Sun and Rays. Clean your Blender Pen.

4-Finish Your Card:
~Because there is no drying time needed, you can immediately glue your Watercoloring directly to your Card Base.
Your Watercolor Sunrise at the Beach Card is finished.
