INSTRUCTIONS:

1-Cut Your Papers:

~Pale Papaya Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
~Pale Papaya Card Front: 4″ x 5-1/4″
~Basic White: I use a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. You can use slightly smaller if you want.

2-Diagonal Striped Card Front:

Look for a video on Friday demonstrating this Technique.
I have drawn a line at the 6″ mark on my Simply Scored from top to bottom with a Black Sharpie Marker.
~Place two opposite corners of your Card Front so the corner tips are even with the 6″ score line.
~Use your Stylus to score every other Simply Scored Line. Sometimes it helps to not start scoring on the cardstock edge but in a bit on the cardstock.
~Continue Scoring until you have covered your Card Front with Diagonal Stripes.
~Sponge around the edges with Mango Melody ink.
~Glue to your Card Base.

3-Stamping:

I have found the best way to get a great stamped image with the Butterflies stamp is to use the Stamparatus. This way I can reink and stamp again to get an evenly stamped image.
I also use Stamp Block I to rub across the Stamparatus Panel to get even pressure on the stamps.

~Position your Basic White cardstock in the Stamparatus. Place the magnets on the upper right corner and at the bottom of your cardstock to hold it in place.\\~Place your Butterflies stamp where you want it on your cardstock. Close Panel and press over the stamp so it attaches well.
~Ink up your stamp with the Memento Black ink as evenly as you can. Don’t worry though. When you use the Stamparatus you can stamp multiple times until you get a great stamped image.
~Close your Panel. Rub the Stamp Block I over the Panel both ways: Vertically and Horizontally.

~Open your Panel and check your stamped image. I have found the certain Butterflies usually need more ink. You can just rub the ink pad over those spots or over the whole stamp. Close the Panel. You can use the Stamp Block again. You can also use your fingers and hand to press down on the parts you reinked. Repeat until your image is perfect. It only took me a total of two times to get a perfect image.
~Cut out with the coordinating out line Dies. OR you can just fussy cut the Butterfly you want.

4-Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

~Die Cut the Largest Scallop Circle Die from Basic White cardstock.
~Place your Circle inside your Embossing Folder and run through your Machine.
~Choose the Detailed Butterfly Die you want to use on top of the Butterfly you chose. Cut it from Mango Melody cardstock.

5-Color Your Butterfly:

~Use Pale Papaya ink and a Blending Brush to color your Butterfly.
~Add Mango Melody ink to your Blending Brush and color the outer parts of the Butterfly wings and antennas.

6-Ribbon:

~I used about 13″ of ribbon.
~Lay your Circle in the center of your Card Base with the back side up.
~Place your Ribbon where you want it on the back of your Circle.
~Add Stampin’ Seal under each side of the Ribbon. Attach it. Trim the ends.

7-Finish Your Card:

~Bend the Wings along the body of your Detailed Die Cut Butterfly. Put three Glue Dots on the back of your Butterfly Body. Attach it to the body of your stamped Butterfly.
~Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of your Stamped Butterfly and to the back of your Embossed Circle. Make sure a couple of your Stampin’ Dimensionals are on top of your Ribbon.
~Attach your Circle first. Trim your Ribbon ends if needed.
~Position your Butterfly where you want it. Attach.
~Add Three Large Pearls to your Butterfly Body.
Your Beautiful Striped Butterfly Card is finished.
