Wrapped Candy Treat Holder Video

Do you want to make a small candy holder to either give to someone or to put on your holiday dinner table?  Make this quick and easy Wrapped Candy Treat Holder with just a few supplies to wrap any dimensional candy.

This Video is about 7-1/2 minutes long.

SUPPLIES:
Candy from your local store.  I used a small Reese’s candy.
Stamps:  Takeout Treats. Rubber Wood-Mount #147861, Clear-Mount #147858
Ink:  Fresh Fig
Paper:  Nature’s Poem 12×12 Designer Series Paper #146338
Punch:  Scallop Tag Topper #133324
1-1/8″ Scallop Circle #146138
Ribbon:  Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack #146329
Adhesive:  Glue Dots

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Determine the size of the paper to cut.  You can use scratch paper or grid paper to help determine the size of paper you need.
~Measure the widest part of your candy, the part you want on the bottom.  In this case 1″.
~Place your candy about 1/4″ from the edge of your scrap paper.  Roll:  top, side, bottom, side, top.  Add 1/4″. Cut.  In this case 5″
~Cut your paper. In this case 1″ x 5″.
~Determine center measurement and width of candy part you want on the bottom.  Candy is about 1″ wide.  DSP is 5″.  Half of 5″ is 2-1/2″.  Since the candy is 1″ wide we want 1/2″ on each side of the center we will score at 2″ and 3″.
~Punch ends with Tag Topper Punch centering before punching.
~Attach your candy to the bottom with 2-3 Glue Dots.
~Cut about 5-6″ ribbon, fold in half.  Put folded part through both punch holes, tighten up DSP ends, twist ribbon so it is standing up, and put both ends through the ribbon loop.  Pull tight.  Depending on how slippery your ribbon is, you can tie it if necessary.
2.  Stamp your sentiment on Whisper White cardstock in Fresh Fig Ink.  Punch out.  Attach to your candy holder with either Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals or Glue Dots.
Your Treat is ready to give away.
