This and That Journal

I finally decided what to do with my Epic Day This and That Journal.  I am choosing to Doodle and play around with it.  So there is no theme, just testing out a few things.  Remember the 15% Bundle Discount ends April 30th.  The items will be in the NEW Catalog but apparently won’t be Bundled like this or at such a great discount.  Have fun playing with yours!

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Front Cover.  I used my Island Indigo Marker to trace the debossed hexagons on the front cover.  The Green Banner and the  “You Only Live Once, but if you do it right, once is enough” are stickers that come in the Bundle.  I traced around the sticker edges with Markers.  The small hexagons are also stickers that I traced around.  I punched 1-1/4″ Scallop Circles-one Silver Glimmer Paper and one Red Glimmer Paper.  I stamped two images from the A Round Array stamp set, punched them out with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and layered them on the Glimmer Paper Scallop Circles with Dimensiionals.  I stamped two images from the A Round Array stamp set in two hexagons.  I then wrote the letter “N” with the brush tip of the Raspberry Ripple Marker.  I learned calligraphy quite a few years ago and this is my favorite way to write an “N”.
2.  Inside Front Cover.  I choose a piece of the Designer Series Paper to cover the Chipboard.  I cut it 6-3/8″ x 8″.  I used the retired Spiral Border Punch to punch the holes to attach to the Spiral Binding.  My DIL thought it came this way.  I have lots of flower parts left over from the Pop-Up Posies Kit and used 2 Pool Party and 2 Calypso Coral ones for the flowers.  I used my Big Shot and the Sweet Buttons embosslit to cut Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight Buttons.  I used two buttons for the center of the flowers.  I used Markers to accent the raised areas of the buttons.
3.  Crumb Cake Page.  I used the Delicate Doilies and Word Play stamp sets and the Raspberry Ripple and Midnight Muse ink pads to decorate this page.  I will probably add something else later.
4.  Crumb Cake Page with Pocket.  I used Sponge Daubers to accent the edges of the envelopes that came in the pocket. I stamped a few Midnight Muse Delicate Doilies.  I also used the Rotary Stamp and Cherry Cobbler ink to stamp the date.
5.  Chevron Page.  I cut out the Delicate Doilies Sizzlet, which I love but don’t use as much as I would like.  I used Daffodil Delight card stock and sponged the edges with Cajun Craze.  I stamped all the sayings from the Rotary Stamp on a scrap strip of Whisper White card stock.  I used a variety of ink pads that were laying around on my Craft Table.  I attached it with the Washi Tape that comes in the Bundle.  I had the Basic Gray Zig Zag strip (Cut from the Tasteful Trim XL die) laying on my Craft Table so I added it at the top of the page.

I will show you more pages as I finish them.

Happy Doodling in your This and That Journal!
