Sunset Card Video

This Sunset Card was designed by Alex. He thoroughly enjoyed all the sponging! Just be aware that each card will look different using this sponging technique.

Stamps: Colorful Seasons. Photopolymer #143726
Perennial Birthday. Cling Rubber #151240
Inks: Mango Melody
Pumpkin Pie
Poppy Parade
Pool Party
Seaside Spray
Pacific Point
Cardstock: Whisper White
Daffodil Delight
Punch: 2″ Circle Punch #133782
Tools: Stamping Sponges #141337
Adhesive: SNAIL or Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Sponged Sunset card

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Cut your Papers:
~Card Base: Whisper White 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
~Whisper White Water Layer: 2-3/8″ x 5-1/2″.
~Punch out your Sun from Daffodil Delight cardstock with your 2″ Circle Punch.

2. Sponge your Sky:
You can either pounce your sponge up and down to apply the ink OR you can rub it is circles or back and forth. It all depends on the look you want and how the ink is on your sponge.
~Get 5 Sponge wedges: 3 for the Sky and 2 for the Water.
~You will need the Mango Melody, Poppy Parade, and Pumpkin Pie ink pads.
~Ink up your sponge in one of the above colors and pounce your sponge directly onto your card base. Keep pouncing using the three colors until you get the look you want.

3. Sponge your Water:
~You will need Pool Party and Seaside Spray stamp pads and two sponge wedges.
~Get your Whisper White Water Layer cardstock.
~Pounce with Pool Party and Seaside Spray inks until you are happy with the look.
~Stamp your Words in Pacific Point ink.

4. Finish your card:
~Lay out your Sun and Water Layer on your card base where you want them.
~Attach your Sun first.
~Then, attach your Water Layer lining up with bottom and sides with the Card Base.
Your Sunset card is finished.
