Stamparatus Hinge Stamping Technique

The Stamparatus Hinge Stamping Technique is a fun and easy technique to use. This card uses two stamps and the five NEW In Color inks. Try this technique yourself with a variety of image and word stamps.

This Video is 15 minutes long.

SUPPLIES:

Stamps: Pattern Play #152523
Ornate Thanks #149471
Inks: Misty Moonlight
Just Jade
Magenta Madness
Bumblebee
Cinnamon Cider
Cardstock: Whisper White
Magenta Madness
Tools: Stamparatus #146276
Small Grid Paper #149621
Adhesive: Stampin’ Seal #152813

TIPS:

Line up your cardstock with the corner about 1″ away from both hinges. You don’t get good quality stamping right next to the hinges.

Measure your stamp to see what “Hinge Spacing” to use. The stamp I chose for the video used a 1″ Hinge Spacing. The short strip stamps in the Pattern Play stamp set use a 2″ Hinge Spacing.

Hinge Spacing means how many Hinge spaces you move down to continue your pattern. For a 1″ Hinge Spacing your move down just 1 slot. For a 2″ Hinge Spacing you skip one Hinge Slot and move to the second.

Start your stamp close to where the two hinge rows meet. This will give you the room to move the stamp down and do the Hinge Stamping Technique.

You can use just one color when you stamp or multiple colors like I did in the sample. Just clean your stamp each time before changing ink colors.

The Whisper White cardstock was cut at 3-3/4″ x 5″.
The Magenta Madness Card Base was cut at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
