Sparkly Anniversary or Valentine’s Day Card

Happy Valentine's Day!My oldest son and his wife just had their 9th Anniversary.  Here is the card I made for them.  If you don’t have the Candlelight Christmas Designer Series Paper today is the last day to order it.  I do love the seeing the contrast of the Glimmer Paper and the flocking!
Sparkly Anniversary or Valentine Card

I will be posting a “Love” card every Wednesday between now and Valentine’s Day that can be used as a Valentine’s Day card, Wedding card, or Anniversary card just by changing the sentiment.  Yes, they will most likely have hearts on them unless I change a lot.  I have always loved using Hearts!

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Cut your card base from either Whisper White or Real Red card stock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.  Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
2.  Cut your Red Glimmer paper at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.  Adhere to card front.
3.  Cut your Silver Glimmer paper AND your Candlelight Christmas flocked window sheet at 4″ x 5-1/4″.  Put several Glue Dots under the red flocking on the window sheet and adhere it to the Silver Glimmer Paper.  Adhere this layer to the Red Glimmer paper card front with either Dimensionals or Tombow Glue.
4.  Stamp the Scallop Heart image in Real Red ink.
5.  Stamp “Happy Anniversary” or desired sentiment in Real Red ink on your Stamp-a-ma-jig.  Spray your Happy Anniversary stamp with Stampin’ Mist and wipe clean with a Tissue or paper towel.  (I had to redo my whole heart a couple of times because my “clean” stamp left faint letters where it was supposed to stay White!  I guess I need to clean my Stampin’ Scrub again.)  Position the word “Happy” that is on your Stamp-a-ma-jig clear sheet in the desired position on your stamped Heart.  Color the word “Happy” on your stamp with the Cherry Cobbler marker.  Stamp in desired position using your Stamp-a-ma-jig.  Spray your stamp and wipe clean as before.  Check on a scrap to make sure that no letters show up when stamped.  Now position the word “Anniversary” that is on your Stamp-a-ma-jig sheet in the desired position underneath the word “Happy“.  Color the word Anniversary with your Cherry Cobbler marker.  Stamp in desired position using your Stamp-a-ma-jig.  Whew!  The hard part is finished!
6.  Cut your Scallop Heart out using the coordinating Hearts a Flutter Framelit.  Choose the desired size Heart Collection Framelit to go behind your Scallop Heart.  Cut this Heart out of your Red Glimmer Paper.  Adhere the Scallop Heart and the Red Glimmer Paper Heart with Dimensionals.  Adhere to the card front with Dimensionals.
7.  Admire your Sparkly Card before making someone’s day and giving it to them!
