Q&A: What is Retiring?

What is Retiring? The Stampin’ Up! Retiring List comes out next Monday, April 10th at 1:00 Utah time.

Order any of the Retiring 2015-2017 In Color products now before they are gone!

Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macaron, and Delightful Dijon are the retiring In Colors.

The Ink Refills are currently on backorder and will be in between next week and the week after.  I doubt they will reorder more after they are gone this time.

Now is also the time to get any other items on your Wish List.

What is Retiring besides the 2015-2017 In Colors?
We don’t know for sure but here is my observation.
~ALL In Color Ribbons and embellishments usually change, even the current ones.  For example they usually change the ribbon styles each year.
~Lots of Embellishment retire, some change: for example:  Candy Dots changed to Enamel Shapes.  Most from the Occasions Catalog change.
~Most Ribbons retire.  Baker’s Twine colors generally change except Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White.  We do like variety to go with our basics!
~Generally all Washi Tape retires.
~In General, all Designer Series Paper retires along with the coordinating Paper Packs.
~ALL Bundles retire!  The individual stamp sets and coordinating Framelits, Thinlits, Punches, and Embossing Folders may not retire, but you will no longer be able to get the 10% Bundle price.  The only Bundle that probably will not retire is the Clear Stamp Block Bundle.
~Usually all the Kits retire.
~Project Lift is retiring.  Yes, ALL OF IT.  There will be new Memory Keeping supplies for us, but they have not given us any more information yet.
~We never know what Tools will retire ahead of time.  Big Shot accessories, Punch Boards, Coloring Tools,
~It is also hard to know which Stamp Sets will retire.
~Note:  Some items change prices to cover increased manufacturing costs.

How do I know what is sold out?
Just go to My Online Store.  Click on the Retiring List (or whatever they call it this year).  I think they remove the items that are no longer orderable.  If not, you will get a pop-up that tells you if they are no longer orderable.

How does Stampin’ Up! choose what to retire?
~Stampin’ Up! likes to be trendy with it’s styles, colors, embellishments, and crafting tools.
~Items that have not sold well are also retired to make room for new items.
~Stampin’ Up! likes to give us the plenty of NEW toys to play with.  We don’t want to get bored with all the same old stuff now, do we!

When does the NEW 2017-2018 Catalog come out and how do I get one?
We can start ordering from the NEW Catalog on June 1, 2017.
I can make sure one comes to your mailbox if you place an order with me by April 15th.  The catalogs will be shipped out sometime in May.  It seems like the come in the mailbox the 3rd or 4th week of May.
