Pop-Up Posies Banner

The Pop-Up Posies Kit is really fun to use!  I made a Banner, decorated a Fancy Favor Gift Bag, and made a card.  I still have lots of Posy flower pieces left to decorate more things.  The Pop-Up Posies Instructions suggested using a lot more Posy Flower pieces but I didn’t like those as well.  I have used less flower pieces and like the way the flowers look much better.  I hope you enjoy making your own versions.  We will be making these projects at my Classes an March 22nd.

When this Kit is no longer available you can use any Framelit or Big Shot Die and Punched Flowers to get the look you want.

BANNER INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Decide what word you want on your Banner.  I chose “Create“.  There are 9 of the embossed labels in the kit.  So if you want more than 9 letters and spaces you will need a second kit.
2.  You can choose either Pacific Point, Cajun Craze, or Island Indigo for the letters.  I used Pacific Point since it was brighter.
3.  I used 2″ squares to cut out the letters.  You can cut out multiple letters on the die and several of the same letter can be cut at one time because there are no score lines on the die.
4.  Assemble your flowers using as many layers of the flowers as you want.
Daisy.  I used a thin handled paint brush to shape the flowers.  Lay the handle across the flower down the center of two petals.  Fold the petals around the handle, but don’t fold the center of the flower.  Continue this process on all the Daisy type flowers you want to use.  Layer them together and pierce a hole through the center with your Paper Piercing tool.  Insert the desired brad from the kit.  Align or stagger the petals as desired.
White Flowers.  I just used two each of the large and medium “cupcake liner” flowers and one of the small ones.  For the large and medium ones I laid the two of the same size together and cut every third line to the flat part.  I cut every 2nd line on the smallest one.  Layer the Large ones together, staggering the cut lines.  Now add the medium ones also staggering the cut lines.  Add the small one.  Make sure they are in the position you want and pierce a hole through the center.  Insert the desired brad from the kit.  Fluff up the petals as desired.
5.  Take the desired number of embossed labels and lay them out in a line.  Pierce a hole on the top two corners of each one.
6.  Lay out one letter on each embossed label.  Decide where to put the flowers.  Make more if necessary.  Adhere the letters with Tombow Glue.
7.  Connect the embossed labels with the cut Baker’s Twine included in the Kit.  I tied a bow.
8.  Now adhere the Flowers in the desired positions with Glue Dots.
9.  Add enough extra Baker’s Twine to the outside ends of the Banner so you can hang it up on your wall.
10.  Stand back and admire your lovely Banner.

Happy Stamping!
