Here are My Favorite Stampin’ Up! Adhesives Product Review. At the end I list the other Stampin’ Up! Adhesives that I don’t use and why.
1-Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
~This is my most used adhesive.
~This is a great Glue for attaching cardstock and papers.
~You can also use it to attach embellishments.
~If the adhesive comes off your adhesive backed embellishment you can use a tiny dot of glue to attach it.
How to Use Tombow Glue:
This is “Grown-Up” Glue.
~Use thin lines of glue. Spread out any globs.
~You can also use tiny dots of about 1/16″ or smaller.
~This small amount will be more than enough to firmly attach whatever you are gluing.
~Hold your glued pieces together for a bit to let the glue set and attach the pieces together.
2-Stampin’ Dimensionals:
These Hexagon-shaped foam dots are perfect for adding some height and dimension to your projects.
They come in Standard and Mini which are white.
Black Dimensionals include both Standard and Mini and are used under darker colors.
The Hexagon shape lets you put either the straight side or point at the edges of your cardstock.
You can also cut them in half to use under smaller pieces.
Use the Stampin’ Dimensionals that are left around the edges of your sheet.
~Use in strips under long, thing pieces such as sentiments.
~Cut apart to use as normal.
Foam Strips and Adhesive Sheets are similar to Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Foam Strips are taller than Stampin’ Dimensionals. These are perfect for making Shaker Cards or when you need more height between layers.
Adhesive Sheets can be cut or die cut to go under a whole image or sentiment.
3-Glue Dots:
These are perfect for attaching almost everything to your project! AND there is no need to let it dry.
Use to:
~Hold your Bow and/or Ribbon in place
~Attach small pieces of cardstock, paper, or embellishments.
4-Tear & Tape:
~This extra strong double-sided adhesive is used to hold together things such as boxes and other 3D projects.
~You can also use it to hold a strip of ribbon in place on your card or project.
~I use it instead of Tape Runners like Stampin’ Seal.
5-Adhesive Sheets:
Attach these to cardstock before you cut Detailed Dies or small Dies to turn the Die Cut cardstock into a sticker. Then just peel off the backing to expose the adhesive and stick to your project.
6-Silicone Craft Sheet:
Use all your adhesives using the Silicone Craft Sheet as your work surface. You can just roll off the Adhesives with your fingers. It will keep your regular work surface clean and unsticky!
Other Adhesives:
Stampin’ Seal and Stampin’ Seal Plus:
There is quite a learning curve to get it to not loop out. I have not figured out a way to fix it when it loops out. As a result of ruining several of these expensive tape runners I have quit using them. One of my customers likes hers. The others refuse to buy them again.
Fine-Tipped Glue:
This is a great glue for small detailed projects. I have trouble using it without being messy. My customers love it though.
So. There you have it. My Favorite Stampin’ Up! Adhesives Product Review.
