Today the United States of America honors those who died while serving our country. I live next to an Army Base. The VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) members will decorate the graves of the soldiers on Post today. I also know several young men who have died in the service of our country this past year and left behind a wife and small children. I see the sorrow and struggles of adjusting to life without their husband and father.
I do appreciate the freedoms these men and women have worked so hard to preserve!
So before you go off and have fun with your family and friends, please take a few minutes to remember those who have given their lives for our freedom and be grateful for their sacrifice and the sacrifices of their families.
If you don’t live in the United States remember those who sacrificed in your own country. There are many who deserve our respect and thanks for preserving freedom in the world. Let us spend a minute to remember them. What would the world be like without these brave men and women who help preserve freedom in the world?
