Magnolia Thanks Card

This Magnolia Thanks Card was really fun to make. I enjoyed the change to more complex stamping, coloring, and die cutting.

INSTRUCTIONS:

*1. Cut your Petal Pink card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.

2. Cut your Shaded Spruce card layer at 4″ x 5-1/4″.
~Drag your Shaded Spruce ink pad over your Layered Leaves Embossing Folder on the side where the leaves sink down.
~Put your Shaded Spruce cardstock on the dry side of the Embossing Folder. Close the folder and run through your Big Shot. Watch this Video if you need more instructions on using Dynamic Embossing Folders.
~Carefully peel off the cardstock and set aside to dry.
~Clean off your Embossing Folder. I just put it under the tap and turn on the water moving it around until the ink is all off. It just takes a couple of seconds. Set your Embossing Folder aside to dry, or dry it off with a towel.
~Glue your embossed card layer to your Petal Pink card base.

3. Flowers:
Work on coloring just one flower at a time with the Light and Dark Blends.
~Stamp three small Magnolia flowers in Memento ink on Whisper White cardstock.
~Color the lower part of the petals with the Dark Petal Pink Blends Marker.
~Blend in the petals color with the Light Petal Pink Blends Marker leaving the flower tips white.
~Use the Fine Tip of your Dark Call Me Clover Blends to draw over the leaf lines and color in the stem.
~Finish the leaves by blending and coloring them in with the Light Call Me Clover Blends.
~Cut out with the coordinating die.
~Put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of each flower.

4. Label.
~Cut your Petal Pink Label at 2-1/4″ x 4″.
~Cut your Call Me Clover Label Mat at 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″.
~Stamp your Border stamp on the top and bottom of the Petal Pink Label using Memento Black ink.
~Stamp your Thanks in the center of the Petal Pink Label with Memento Black ink.
~Attach the Petal Pink Label to the Call Me CLover Label Mat with SNAIL or Tombow Glue. Put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back.

5. Put it all together.
~Lay the Label and the Flowers in the positions you want them on your card front.
~Put the flowers on first because they are under the Label.
~Then attach the Label.
Your Magnolia Thanks Card is finished.
