Layered Sunflowers Card Video

This Layered Sunflowers Card does involve some fussy cutting. The results are worth the effort with the added dimension.

Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine: Sunflowers Dies #152704 (Part of Bundle)

TIPS:

*1. Cut your Seaside Spray Card Base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.

2. Stamp your Flowers:
~I used the Stamparatus to stamp my Sunflower ink layers.
~Mark the back of your Sunflowers as shown on the video. Mark the back of the Small Sunflower where the leaves are. Watch This Video to see what I mean.

Stamp with Crushed Curry ink on So Saffron cardstock.
~Dark Sunflowers: Ink & Stamp thee times for both flowers to get extra dark ink. The ink color layers are supposed to look like shading.
~Medium Sunflowers: Ink & Stamp two layers of ink.
~Light Sunflower: Ink & Stamp one layer as normal. I only used the Large Light Sunflower.

3. Leaves:
~Stamp on Garden Green cardstock with Shaded Spruce ink.
~I used two large leaves and two small leaves.

4. Die Cut:
~the Dark Sunflowers with the Open Sunflower Die.
~Leaves

5. Large Sunflower Fussy Cutting:
First I cut the Medium Layer. And I then cut the Light Layer.
You can tell by the few petals around the center.
Recommended Cutting Sequence:
~Light Sunflower: cut around the petals that are touching the Sunflower Center.
~Medium Sunflower: cut around the next layer of petals
~Dark Sunflower: This was die cut.

6. Small Sunflower Fussy Cutting:
~Medium Sunflower: cut around the petals touching the flower center.
~Dark Sunflower: cut off the leaves.

7. Finish your Flowers and your Card:
Large Sunflower:

~Put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the Medium and Light Sunflower Layers. Attach to your Dark Sunflower.
~Lay your Sunflower on your card base. Attach your Leaves under the Sunflower.

Small Sunflower:
~Add the Medium Sunflower to the Small Dark Sunflower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
~Attach the Leaves to the back of the Sunflower. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals. Don’t attach yet.
~Lay your Small Sunflower on your card and figure out where to stamp your Words. Stamp with Shaded Spruce ink.
~Now attach your Small Sunflower.
Your Layered Sunflowers Card is finished.
