I made this double-sided Birthday card for my 5-year-old granddaughter’s birthday. It uses the Retired 2011-2012 accessories of the Maze and the Game Spinners. I am disappointed these retired. I will admit that I stocked up on the Game Spinners and Mazes last year. They make such fun cards for children!
What will you miss now that the 2012-2013 Retired List is out? Will you miss the Retiring Colors? I will miss Pretty in Pink the most. Which of you favorite stamp sets are Retiring? Are there any papers you need to finish projects? What Big Shot Dies are Retiring that are on your Wish List? I know quite a few of my favorite Big Shot Items are Retiring including the Fancy Favor Die, the Candy Wrapper Die, and the Petal Cone Die. The big Marker Kit with all the Markers is Retiring! Lots of Punches are retiring including the Blossom Petals Punch which I have been using a lot lately to make 3D Flowers. I will miss the Elegant Bouquet, Elegant Lines, and Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folders. All the Color Collection Brads and Buttons are Retiring. All the Designer Series Papers, Color Collection Paper Stacks, and Scrapping Kits are Retiring. I use the Scallop Heart of Heart Embosslit a lot for Wedding and Anniversary cards.
What will you miss most? What will you regret not buying now to use for your projects? You know the prices on EBay will be a lot higher! The remaining items won’t be on the Clearance Rack until Thanksgiving (late November) if Stampin’ Up! does the same as last year. And there is NO Guarantee that the items you want will show up in the Clearance Rack. I know the items I want always sell out in the first couple of days.
I always wonder what Stampin’ Up! will be bringing in instead! We know the NEW ink and card stock colors. As a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I was able to order a few things from the NEW Catalog on April 24th. I will receive my order AND my NEW CATALOG sometime today!!!!! So expect a few projects in the next few weeks using my new toys!
