Happy Thanksgiving Gingerbread House

SUPPLIES:

Jolly Gingerbread November Paper Pumpkin Kit
Mint Macaron cardstock
Mint Macaron ink pad
Ribbon & Twine/Thread
Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Tear and Tape
1/4″ Circle Punch
Stamping Sponges

INSTRUCTIONS:

Choose two House Panels and coordinating cardstock.

House Sides:

~Choose two White House Front Panels with Door Designs and one without door designs and punch out the door hole. One will be used for the Tag
~Stamp the large swirly stamp around the door and the small swirly stamp up close to the point of the panel.
~Repeat with the other two White House Front Panels.
~Attach two Panels with Door Designs to the House Sides over the Doors.
~Save the last White Panel to make your Tag. Let’s finish your House first.

House Bottom:

NOTE: The side without the door is shorter than the side with the door. I didn’t realize it when I made mine.

~Cut your cardstock at 4-3/8″ x 4-1/4″. Mark which side is the longest.
~Score at 1″ on all four sides.
~Cut corners as shown on Template.
~Fold each of these corners over to the next side to form the House Bottom. Glue on.

Finish Your House:

~Put Tear & Tape on both House Panel Flaps.
~Connect the two Panels together on one of the Flaps.
~Attach the House side with the door to the longer side of your box. I recommend starting with the corner where the Flap is attached to the side.
~Now attach the sides without the doors to your Box.
~Attach the last House Flap to the other House Panel and attach to your Box. You may need to manipulate it some to get it to fit.
~Add a “candy” embellishment at the peaks if desired.

Tag:

~Use a Pencil to trace around the door.
~Cut it out.
~Sponge around the edges with your Mint Macaron ink.
~Make a smaller 3/8″ cutout to go at the top (optional) or you could just punch a small circle to go there.
~Sponge around the edges.

~Cut your Mint Macaron cardstock that is 2-1/2″ x 3-7/8″. Stamp on the back if desired.
~Glue your White Tag really close to the bottom so only a little of the Mint Macaron shows.
~Trim the Mint Macaron angles about 3/8″ from the White angles.
~Punch your 1/4″ Circle at the top of the peak.
~Thread your Ribbon through the hole. Wrap the Twine around the ribbon and tie a knot. Trim the twine to about 1″ long. Trim Ribbon if needed.
Your Tag is finished.

Tissue Paper:

Cut a piece 7-1/2″ x 9″ and put into your Gingerbread House.
~Place your Tag inside the Tissue Paper so it sticks out some.
Your Happy Thanksgiving Gingerbread House is finished.
