Happy Birthday Card in Green

My Son’s birthday was Monday.  I bought the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set during the 15% off Stamps Sale.  I have always loved the shape of the tree in the Thought and Prayers stamp set.  His favorite color is green so I used Gumball Green and Garden Green for a monochromatic look.  As usual, it is a pretty quick card to make.  I even tested out my new Texture Boutique to do the embossing with the Argyle Embossing Folder!  Fun!  I hope it will be in the next annual catalog.

TIPS:
1.  I had a lot of trouble not getting extra ink on the card from the part of the stamp at the bottom of the trunk.  Since the tree trunk is so narrow and ink gets on the side part of the rubber, make sure and clean the excess ink off your stamp before stamping.
2.  Embossing Card Front.  Make sure the card front is facing the correct way in the Argyle embossing folder so the embossing will come out how you like it.  Fold the back of the card  behind the embossing folder.  Run through your Big Shot with both tabs open since there is an extra layer of card stock.
3.  I stamped first then trimmed around the stamped images using my Paper Trimmer.  I added 1/4″ to the measurements when cutting the Garden Green card stock.

Happy Stamping!
