I had a Play Date last week with a couple of friends over to craft and Deborah made two Trick or Treat Banners for family members.
She used two sheets of Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper (retired) to make her Banners. She used printer paper patterns to cut out the large Perfect Pennant Bigz Die triangles. She used Dotto Removable Adhesive to hold the triangles in place while she cut the DSP. She used the Perfect Pennants Die to cut the smaller triangles. The Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies (#127553) were used for the letters. A Non-Stampin’ Up! Sizzix Alphabet-Endless Love was used for the “or”. You could also use the Witches Brew DSP (#132185) or Witches Brew MDS #134925.
The “Ghost” background (top photo) was the front side of the DSP and the Polka Dot background (bottom photo) was the back side of the DSP.
Follow the same basic instructions HERE except hand cut the large Triangles so you are able to use almost all the DSP AND have enough triangles for both banners. You need 11 large triangles for each banner. You can also download the Frightful Sight DSP (#123144) for My Digital Studio and the Petite Pennants Punch (#127352) which you can make the size you want and fill it in with the DSP you want. Print onto Whisper White card stock and cut out. You can then finish as above. About 5 feet of Baker’s Twine was used to thread the pieces together.
Happy Halloween Crafting!
