Glittery Candle Card

This Glittery Candle Card was SO much fun to make! I have wanted to add Glitter to this stamped image from the God’s Peace stamp set since I first saw it in the catalog. It was hard to get all the glitter to show in a picture.

INSTRUCTIONS:

*1. Stamp your Candle image on Whisper White cardstock.
Cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle die that is wide enough with the image cose to the bottom of the die.

2. Stamp your Words in Shaded Spruce ink above your Candle image.
~This way if the stamping is not perfect you have not wasted effort or have to layer. I ended up stamping my Words on another sheet of cardstock and hand cutting them out.

3. Color with Blends Markers:
~Poinsettia: Color the lines on the Petals with the Dark Real Red Blends. Also, color on theunderneath Petals next to the upper Petals. Then blend with the Light Real Red Blends. Now draw the lines on the Petals again with the Dark Real Red Blends.
~Flower Centers: Color with your So Saffron Blends.
~Pine Needles: Use the fine tip of your Dark Shaded Spruce Blends.

~Flames: Color the actual flame next to the line with your Dark Mango Melody Blends. Then Color and blend the whole Flame with the Light So Saffron Blends.
~Light Halo: Draw lines from the Flam to the Halo Circle Line with your Dark Mango Melody Blends. Then, color and blend the Halo with the So Saffron Blends.
~Ribbon: Color with the Light Granny Apple Green Blends.

4. Glitter your colored image.
Try to get a rounded line of Tombow Glue to put your Glitter on.
~Candles: Run your Glue up and down the candles. Put dots of Glue in the Halo around the Flames.
~Poinsettia: Add dots of Glue to the So Saffron Flower Center.

~Add the Glitter. Put a scratch paper underneath your cardstock. Dump the Glitter on, the hold up the cardstock to remove the excess glitter. Use your Scratch paper to help get the Glitter back in the jar. I always beat my scratch paper against the inside of the craft trash can to remove the rest of the glitter. This will leave minimal glitter on your works surface.
~SET ASIDE TO DRY!!

5. Card Base and Card Layer: Use Real Red Cardstock:
~Your Card Base is cut at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
~Cut your Card Layer at 4″ x 5-1/4″. Run it through your Big Shot with the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder and your Embossing Folder Plate. Watch This Video if you need help using a 3D Embossing Folder.
~Glue your Embossed Card Layer to your card base.

6. More Glitter
~Add a rounded line of Glue around your Words and at the bottom of your Rectangle.
~Add Glitter.
~SET ASIDE TO DRY FOR 14-30 MINUTES.

7. Check to make sure your Glitter/Glue is dry before continuing.
~Put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the Back of your Glittered Rectangle. Attach to your Card Front.
Your Glittery Candle Card is finished.
