I saw a similar card made with the Foxy Friends Bundle on Patty Bennett’s blog and decided to make one for my class. It is a fun card to make with lots of different elements. Enjoy making one for yourself or an animal lover friend.
SUPPLIES:
Bundle: Foxy Friends Photopolymer stamps + Fox Builder Punch #142326
Ink: Smoky Slate
Tip Top Taupe
Soft Suede
Cucumber Crush
Memento Black
Card Stock: Whisper White
Emerald Envy
Dapper Denim
Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper #141632
Big Shot: Woodland Embossing Folder #139673
Perfect Pines Framelits #139665 (Optional to cut out pine trees. I hand cut mine.)
Other: Paper Snips for fussy cutting
Tombow Glue or other adhesive
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Cut your Dapper Denim card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
2. Cut your Whisper White card front at 4″ x 5-1/4″. Run through your Big Shot with the Woodland Embossing Folder. Make sure your trees are going the correct way before you emboss. Add all the other pieces before attaching.
3. Cut your Emerald Envy card stock at 2-1/4″ x 4″ and 3-1/4″ x 4″. Cut your Flowered paper at 2-3/4″ x 4″. Line up your Emerald Envy card stock pieces with the Flowered piece in between. Cut a wavy line on the end where all 3 pieces are stacked together. Arrange them so you like them. I ended up flipping over my Emerald Envy pieces to get the “rolling hills” effect. Attach the tallest Emerald Envy piece to your card front, lining it up with the bottom and both sides, with Tombow Glue. Layer the Flowered piece next, then the short Emerald Envy. Trim off any excess at the bottom.
4. Now for the Stamping:
~Raccoon Body: Smoky Slate
~Raccoon eye mask, ear tips, and tail stripes: Tip Top Taupe
~Tree Stump: Soft Suede
~Trees: Cucumber Crush
Now cut out all the stamped pieces.
5. Lay out the cut out pieces and attach with your favorite adhesives. I just used Tombow Glue.
6. Attach your finished card front to your card base with Tombow Glue.
