Would you like to have a Dragon Happy Birthday Card?

Would you like to have a Dragon Happy Birthday Card? I made this Hand-colored Dragon Card for my oldest granddaughter who loves dragons. I found a clip art dragon, and resized it. It was printed off on a piece of cardstock and colored with Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen. Wink of Stella was added for some shine. This card base uses a full 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet of cardstock.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1-Dragon Image:

~Click the Link above.
~Move your mouse cursor over the Dragon and Right-Click. Choose “Copy Image”.
~Open a word processor document and Paste the image into the document. (ctrl + v)
~Drag the Lower right dot on the dragon picture to make it the size you want. Make sure it fits on a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.
~Print it on Basic White Cardstock. I found it easier to put the Dragon in the center of the document.
~Cut your card front the size you planned for. Mine was 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.

2-Coloring with Watercolor Pencils:

~Daffodil Delight: Horns and teeth
~Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point: The Blue Parts. I colored with the Bermuda Bay pencil first. Pacific Point was used to color around the edges.

~Rich Razzleberry, Real Red, Melon Mambo: Body and wings
~Triangle Wing Sections: Color about 1/3 from the narrow Triangle top with Rich Razzleberry, the middle 1/3 with Real Red, and the bottom 1/3 with Melon Mambo. Repeat will all wing sections.
~Head and Body: Color around the edges with Rich Razzleberry, the rest with Melon Mambo. Color the center with Real Red.

~Use your Blender Pen with circular motions to blend the lines out and blend the colors together. Clean your Blender Pen after each color by rubbing it on scratch paper until all the color is gone. Repeat with each part of the body. Be careful. If you rub too much the cardstock will start to form little balls as the cardstock top layer is rubbing off.

3-Card Basics:

If your Dragon printed
~properly on your card base score and fold at 5-1/2″
~in the center of your cardstock: Cut it down to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.

4-Finish Your Card:

~Write your Words in the one corner with a Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Marker. I used the brush tip.
~Draw lines with your Wink of Stella Glitter Brush along horns, all the Blue Body and tail parts, the whole Tail Tip, and beside the Blue Wing Dividers on the side closest to the body. I added Wink of Stella Scribbles in each of the corners.

Your Dragon Happy Birthday Card is finished.
