Christmas Stocking

Winter & Christmas Card & Project IdeasI thought I would do a Christmas Stocking using the Holiday Stocking Bigz Die since I haven’t done one yet this year.  I am in the midst of Christmas shopping, so I wanted this to be quick.  The hardest part was deciding how to decorate it.  I finally decided to use the Scentsational Season Christmas Tree.
Christmas Stocking 2012

SUPPLIES:
Stamps:  Scentsational Season w#121026  c#121190
Card Stock:  Cherry Cobbler
Whisper White
Ink:  Garden Green
Big Shot:  Petals-a-Plenty embossing Folder #116824
Lacy Brocade embossing Folder #127819
Holiday Collection Framelits #127814 (Bundle w#129945 c#129946)
Holiday Stocking Bigz L Die #124098
Other:  Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details #125585
Dazzling Details (Clear) #124117

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Fold or cut one sheet of Cherry Cobbler in half (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″).  Cut out 2 Cherry Cobbler Christmas Stockings.  You can cut both sheets at the same time.  Now cut out 2 each from Whisper White card stock:  cuff, toe cap, heel cap.
2.  Now for the embossing.  Make sure you do each pair so the embossed side will face out on both the front and the back.  Emboss the Cherry Cobbler main Christmas Stocking part with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder.  Emboss the Cuffs, toes, and heels with the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder.
3.  Gluing Time.  Glue around the sides of the Cherry Cobbler Christmas Stocking (leave the top part open so that you could stick your foot in if it was a real stocking).  Put glue along the bottom of one cuff and attach it in the desired position at the top of the Christmas Stocking.  Put glue on the sides of the glued on cuff and glue along the bottom of the other cuff and attach the new cuff to the back of the Christmas Stocking making sure to line up the parts that stick out around the Christmas Stocking.  Glue the smaller heel parts on the Christmas Stocking back and front.  Finally glue the larger toe parts onto the toe part of the Christmas Stocking back and front.
4.  Stamp your Christmas Tree in Garden Green ink on Whisper White card stock.  Cut it out with the coordinating Framelit and your Big Shot.  Glue to the front of your stocking.  Decorate with the Dazzling Details.  I used the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details to make a garland.  I then used the Clear Dazzling Details for the Ornaments (the white dots on the Christmas Tree).
5.  Add some Candy Canes, Pixie Sticks, or a Gift Card to the middle.  I don’t have any of those at my house at the current moment, so use your imagination.
6.  Admire your fun Christmas Stocking!
