Time for another Three Things Challenge! I used the Striped Scallops embossing folder, Layering Circles Framelits, and Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon.

Color Combo #25

The Color Challenge for this week is Blushing Bride, Granny Apple Green, and Shaded Spruce.  The Tropical Escape 6×6 Designer Series Paper (DSP) features this color combination so I used it for my Challenge Card.  I also used the beautiful Leaf Ribbon which I just HAD to get!  I am sure you have felt that way about getting something.
  Perennial Birthday Rubber Wood-Mount #145757, Clear-Mount #145760
Ink:  Shaded Spruce
Cardstock:  Blushing Bride
Granny Apple Green
Shaded Spruce
Tropical Escape 6×6 Designer Series Paper (DSP) #146916
Punch:  Tailored Tag #145667
Ribbon:  Leaf Ribbon #146905
Adhesives:  SNAIL
Glue Dots

1.  Cut:
~Blushing Bride card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.  Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
~Designer Series Paper (DSP) at 3-1/2″ 4-3/4″
~Shaded Spruce mat at 3-3/4″ x 5″
~Granny Apple Green mat at 4″ x 5-1/4″.
Attach to card base in the order shown.
2. Stamp and Punch:
~Stamp your Happy Birthday in Shaded Spruce ink on Granny Apple Green cardstock.  I hand cut around the sentiment.  Here are the measurements if you want them: 5/8″ x 1-5/8″.  It is hard for me to cut this small of a piece in my Paper Trimmer.
~Punch one Shaded Spruce Tailored Tag.
~Punch two Blushing Bride Tailored Tags.  Cut one lengthwise and one widthwise.  Put SNAIL on the back of your Shaded Spruce Tage.  Attach the lengthwise  Blushing Bride pieces to the back of the Shaded Spruce Tage trying to get them both the same distance from the Shaded Spruce edge.  Add more SNAIL to the back of your layered punch.  Now do the same with the widthwise pieces trying to keep the edges even with the lengthwise pieces.  Attach to your card front.
3.  Ribbon.  Measure two ribbon pieces about 4-1/4″ of Leaf Ribbon.  Put Glue Dots on one of the leaves at each end, and 1-2 more Glue Dots on leaves in between the ends.  Attach at an angle to your card front with some leaves overlapping your tag.  Repeat with the other  Leaf Ribbon.
Your Card is finished.

NEW Case the Catalog Challenge

I am changing my Challenges some.  This Challenge is a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) Challenge.  As usual, I make a few tweaks.  I left off the ribbon under the Blushing Bride DSP, and I changed the sentiment.  I also added Clear Wink of Stella around the DSP, on the Flower centers, and on the punched sentiment.  When making your version you can change the stamps, colors, anything you want.  Have fun!

Thinking of You-Sketch Challenge #14

I am now designing the Challenge and then making the card.  I chose my sentiment from the Lots of Love rubber stamp set.  Choose a sentiment or image stamp that is about 1-1/2″ to fit in the Stitched Shapes square.
Sketch #14
Thinking of You card

Stamps:  Lots of Love  Wood Mount #143799, Clear Mount #143802
Ink:  Old Olive
Cardstock:  Whisper White
Old Olive
Rich Razzleberry
Petal Garden 6×6 Designer Series Paper (DSP) #144168
Big Shot:Stitched Shapes Framelits #145372
Layering Squares Framelits #141708
Adhesive:  Fast Fuse or SNAIL
Stampin’ Dimensionals

1.  Cut your Rich Razzleberry card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.  Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
2.  Cut your patterned DSP at 2-1/4″ x 4-1/4″.  Attach to the left side of your card base.
3.  Stamp Thinking of You in Old Olive ink on Whisper White cardstock.  Cut out with the coordinating Stitched Shapes Square.  Also cut out a larger Old Olive Scallop Square with a  Layering Square Framelit.  Layer the two squares together with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Attach to your card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

1.  Step it up a bit:
~Cut a Rich Razzleberry card front at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.  Run though your Big Shot with an Embossing Folder.  Attach this to your card base, then make the card as instructed.
2.  Use two patterned paper patterns for the card front:  one with a large pattern, one that has a subtle pattern.  Most Stampin’ Up! DSP has a large pattern on one side of the paper and a more subtle one on the back.  So cut a piece of 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ DSP where you like the front and back together.  Cut a 2-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece.  Attach to your card base.  Then flip the rest of the DSP over to the other side and attach it to your card base.
3.  You can also substitute punches for the squares.  Adapt the Sketch using the patterned paper you have.  If it is Stampin’ Up! paper, look on the back of the package to see the coordinating colors.  This makes your color coordination easy.
