Bird Celebration Card

This Bird Celebration Card uses brighter colors for the Birds than I have used previously. I was in the mood for bright, happy bird colors. This sentiment can be used to celebrate anyone! It is also a #SimpleStamping card using just Stamps, Ink, Paper and a few Rhinestones for bling.

Bird Celebration Card

SUPPLIES:

Stamps: Birds & Branches #152570 (Part of Bundle #154107)
A Grand Kid #152500
Inks: Daffodil Delight
Pacific Point
Night of Navy
Crumb Cake
Granny Apple Green
Rococo Rose
Cardstock: Whisper White
Tools: Stamparatus #146276
Small Grid Paper #149621
Embellishments: Rhinestone Basic Jewels #144220

INSTRUCTIONS:

I all the stamping except for the flowers with my Stamparatus. I also use the Small Grid Paper to keep my card base lined up for perfect stamp placement every time.

Cut your Whisper White card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.

STAMPING:

Line up your card base at least 1″ away from the hinges. Put your magnets on your card base on the farthest sides from the hinges. This will help your card base stay in place when you raise the plate with stamps on it.

Words: Place your Word stamp in the center of your card base. Stamp 2-3 times with Night of Navy ink to get it as dark as you want.

Birds: Decide where you want to stamp your birds. You can do two at a time since they face differently.
~Solid Bird stamp: Daffodil Delight ink
~Detailed Bird stamp: Pacific Point ink. I stamped three layers of ink for each bird.

Branches: Line up a branch under each bird so the branch touches the bird (if possible).
~Stamp in Crumb Cake ink.
~Branch on right side: Move your card base further from your Stamparatus hinge so the branch stamps to the edge of your card base.

Leaves: Use Granny Apple Green ink.
~The bottom branch leaves are stamped twice.
~Leaves on the middle branch are stamped once.
~Use a paper scrap to “stamp off” the leaves on the top branch. You can see the words better. You might also want to “stamp off” the middle branch leaves.

Flowers: Stamp five flowers in Rococo Rose around your card base to fill in the White spaces. I used a Stamp Block to stamp these.
~Add a small Rhinestone to the center of each flower.
Your Bird Celebration Card is finished!
