Today is “Talk Like a Pirate” Day! I first heard of this when my youngest daughter was in either middle school or high school. She and her friends all came home using words like “arg” and calling everyone “matey“. It was pretty funny! I used the Ahoy Matey Ensemble-Digital Download (#130078 $14.95) to make this card to email to my family.
I have been having computer issues. Tuesday my laptop screen was black. It wouldn’t even shut down no matter how long I held the button down. My son suggested I take the monitor from the desktop and attach it to my laptop. Now I had two black screens. I finally just closed the top and tried to use the desktop computer, but it kept freezing and needing a hard shut down. My son came over on his way home from work and did the “Man Touch” thing. You know-where no matter what you do it isn’t working right. Then you tell “The Man” about it and it works fine. Well, he opened the laptop and it worked fine. He did do some exploring and found some programs that I don’t remember installing that are hanging things up behind the scene. He and my DH had a lovely computer discussion over the phone of which I comprehended very little. Anyway, the computer has been working fine, but I decided to do a complete backup just in case. So it has been backing up now for about a day and a half. It is almost done! Then I will do the other computer.
