Deborah made these beautiful Alternate April Paper Pumpkin Cards. I am really impressed at how creative she is! Enjoy the Leaf Background technique!
She used regular card bases (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″) though I am not sure what color she used.
Card 1: Tree Card
1. Cut your card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
2. Stamp your Leaves on Whisper White cardstock. Stamp again with the flat parts together. Fussy cut out around the leaves.
3. Cut the Dark Green strip off the Paper Pumpkin card base. Attach it to your card base.
4. Label:
~Stamp your Words on a White Label. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back.
~Attach an Orange Label underneath.
5. Finish Your Card:
~Lay out all the pieces where you want them.
~First attach the Leaves, then the Tree. Add the Birds with a half Stampin’ Dimensional behind each.
~Now add your Label flat on the card base.
~Put on a few Pearls.
Your Tree Card is finished.
Card 2: Leaf Background Card
*1. Cut your card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
2. Stamp Your Background:
~Cut your Whisper White cardstock at 4″ x 5-1/4″.
~Stamp the corners with your Leaf Stamp as shown.
~Then fill in the edges with your Leaf Stamp. Make sure to cover about 1″ around the edges. The middle does not matter as it will be covered up.
3. Cut out a Label. I am not sure which one she used. You will cut it in half. The part that shows is about 3/4″.
4. Cut the front Flower piece off from one of the Card Bases that come in the Kit. Cut it at 3″ x 3-1/2″. Sponge around the edges.
~Stamp your Words in the center.
5. Finish Your Card:
~Attach your Label halves directly to the back of your stamped flower piece with the ends sticking out about 3/4″.
~Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the stamped flower piece and Labels.
~Lay this stamped flower piece over your stamped Leaf Background. Stamp more leaves if needed. Then, attach the stamped flower piece to your stamped Leaf Background.
~Tie a bow with Baker’s Twine and attach it with a Glue Dot.
~Fold your Butterfly on each side of the body. Attach it with two Glue Dots.
Your Leaf Background Card is finished.
