I made this Valentine card for my family. It was fairly quick and easy to make multiples. I did vary the ribbon colors using Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and Cherry Cobbler 3/4″ Chevron Ribbon. I did get them ALL mailed yesterday!!
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Cherry Cobbler card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. Watch this video for detailed instructions. 2. Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Cut a piece of Real Red card stock at 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. Run through the Big Shot with the Happy Hearts embossing folder making sure the Hearts will be going the direction you want them to. Glue to the end of your Whisper White card stock. Run this card stock through the Big Shot with your Top Note die with the side with the Real Red embossed piece touching the die. 3. Stamp your sentiments in Real Red ink. 4. Punch a Heart from Red Glimmer Paper and attach it with Dimensionals. 5. Tie the ribbon around the card over the Real Red Hearts. 6. Attach your Top Note die to your card base using Dimensionals. I used 9 whole Dimensionals in 3 rows: along both edges and down the center. 7. You might want to put a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White on the inside of your card to write on. Stamp if desired.
I was watching a video (which I cannot find now) and dreamed about making a Pirate that moved for my grandsons Valentines Day cards. It worked! I also decided to make a sliding Heart Valentine for my granddaughters. Hope you enjoy making these. If it is after Valentine’s Day you can choose any stamp you can cut out (punch out, die cut, or use scissors) to make it slide. The video is just over 20 minutes long.

We made this You Plus Me Valentine card at a women’s meeting at Church. The ladies (and a couple of daughters) had a lot of fun. Most of their cards turned out a little differently than mine, but they had fun and the cards were cute. I should have remembered to take a picture of some of their cards.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Real Red card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut a piece of 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Cherry Cobbler out with your Big Shot and the Top Note Die. Now run your Top Note die cut through the Big Shot with the Happy Hearts embossing folder. Attach your embossed die cut to your card base. You can use either Tombow or Dimensionals. 3. Stamp your desired images on Whisper White card stock with Real Red ink. Punch out the You + Me with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch. Punch out the Be Mine with the Large Oval Punch. Also punch out a Whisper White 2-1/2″ Circle. Punch out a little Heart from the Silver Glimmer Paper. 4. Lay all pieces on your card front in the desired positions. Attach with either Tombow Glue or Dimensionals. 5. Some variations I saw: stamp some of the hearts around the “Be Mine” so there is not a lot of white showing, same idea for the large white circle. Add more Glimmer Hearts. Have fun with this stamp set and card!
My friend, Karan, came over for a Paper Pumpkin Party and we worked on getting caught up making our Kits from the last couple of months. She was looking through the Occasions catalog and saw the Wood You Be Mine? Stamp set and loved the sample card so she made one and said I could put it on my blog. I will be making one for my son and perhaps a son-in-law for Valentine’s Day. I had better hurry since my son lives in Germany!
Sorry I don’t have any measurements or specific instructions as she made this card while I was working on my projects and we were having fun talking. 🙂 Stamp on Whisper White card stock with the Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Trim after stamping and coloring are finished to the size you want. Cut the DSP to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Attach to Whisper White or other color card base. Add your stamped layer. Add your Washi Tape. Tie a bow or knot with Baker’s Twine in your Gold Button and trim the ends. Attach to card with Glue Dots.
Do you like giving little treats or gifts to others? The Tiny Treat Boxes are the perfect size for a small treat or gift such as earrings or other small jewelry. They can easily be decorated for any occasion. These are decorated for Valentine’s Day or could be used for an Anniversary. They would also make great Party Favor Boxes.
I love this Pirate stamps which is perfect for boys! I bought it so my grandson could make Valentine’s cards for his school classmates. On the first card he made I asked why he didn’t color the picture. He said he wanted to let them have fun coloring. I enjoyed coloring the cute Pirate picture and so did the ladies at my Stamp Class. You can choose whether you color it or let the recipient color it.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Real Red card base at 5-1/2″ x 9-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Chocolate Chip bottom card layer at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Attach to your card base. 3. Cut your Cherry Cobbler card stock at 4″ x 5-1/4″. Run through your Big Shot using the Happy Hearts embossing folder. Attach to your Chocolate Chip layer. 4. Stamp your Pirate in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock. Color as desired. Color Suggestions are in the Supply List above. Trim around the edges and measure the height and width. Add 1/4″ to the height and width when cutting your Chocolate Chip mat. Adhere the mat and stamped image together. 5. Cut out the “I heart you” from Whisper White using the Thinlit from the Label Card Thinlits. Punch out a heart from either Real Red or Cherry Cobbler card stock and put it inside the heart shape using a Dimensional. 6. Position the “I heart you” and your Pirate in the desired positions. Attach the Pirate with Fast Fuse or Tombow. Attach the “I heart you” with Tombow Glue. 7. You now have a card to give to a little boy or a Pirate lover for Valentine’s Day.
I held my Monthly Stamp Class yesterday. We had fun making these cards and decorating the Tiny Treat Boxes.
The Instructions for the Pirate card and the Tiny Treat Boxes will be my next two posts.

This fun new Hexagon Hive Thinlit is a fun background for this Valentine card. Use a Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to turn your Hexagon Hive Thinlit or any die cut into a sticker! Video is at the bottom of this blog post.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut Your Whisper White card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. *2. Watch the Video below for this step. Cut your Cherry Cobbler card stock at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Cut a piece of Multipurpose Adhesive sheet the same size. Peel off the words on the Adhesive Sheet and adhere it to your Cherry Cobbler card stock. Run though your Big Shot using this sandwich: Magnetic OR Multipurpose Platform (all tabs closed), cutting plate, card stock with adhesive side touching cutting plate, Wax Paper, Hexagon Hive Thinlit, and your top cutting plate. Poke out the hexagons that are cut. Not all of them will come out-they are not supposed to! Set aside the hexagon stickers for another project. Peel off the adhesive backing and adhere to your card front. 3. Stamp your Banner Blast Hearts in Real Red ink inside each full hexagon. Use your Stamp-a-ma-jig if you want them perfectly placed, or just try to stamp in the center like I did. 4. Stamp your “Love” and “When I thing of YOU I can’t STOP SMILING” sentiments in Real Red in on Whisper White card stock. Cut out the “SMILING” sentiment with the coordinating Chalk Talk Framelit. Hand cut your “Love” . Put Dimensionals on the back of both sentiments. 5. Cut your Silver Glimmer Paper Heart out with the desired size Heart Framelit. I used the third one from the center. Use your Small Heart Punch to punch out your Red Glimmer Paper Heart. Put Dimensionals on the back of both Hearts. 6. Position the “LOVE” and Small Red Glimmer Paper Heart on top of the Silver Glimmer Paper Heart. Adhere in the desired positions with the Dimensionals. Position your Silver Glimmer Paper Heart and your “Smiling” sentiment in the desired positions on your card front. Adhere. 7. You can use some of the Hexagon Stickers you made to decorate the corners inside your card and on the outside of your envelope. I have not yet tested to see how well they make it through the mail on the outside of an envelope.
Make this Quick and Easy Valentine card using Photopolymer stamps and the extra large Clear Mount “F” Block so you just stamp once! Add some Dazzling Details for Sparkle and you have a Sparkly Valentine Card.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Whisper White card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Real Red card stock at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Use the Scallop Adorning Accents Edgelit and your Big Shot on the 4-1/4″ sides about 1/2″ from the edge. 3. Arrange your stamps in the positions desired on your Clear Mount “F” Block. Stamp with VersaMark onto your Real Red card front. Emboss with White Embossing Powder. Melt Embossing Powder using your Heat Tool. 4. Adhere your embossed card front to the Whisper White card base. 5. “Color in” the outlined embossed letters with Dazzling Details. Set aside to dry. 6. Give to a special person in your life.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Rose Red card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Pink Pirouette card front at 3-3/4″ x 5″. Use the Heart Embossing Folder, lining it up with the top edge and then the bottom edge so you have a strip of hearts along the top and bottom. Adhere to card base with Tombow Glue. 3. Cut a piece os Rose Red card stock at 2″ x about 4-1/4″. Punch the top with the Scallop Tag Topper. Thread your Silver Baker’s Twine through the punched hole. I used 4 pieces of about 6″ long Silver Baker’s Twine. Thread from the front to the back and pull the ends through the loop you made in the back. 4. Cut a 1-5/8″ x 2-3/4″ Whisper White card stock for your stamping. Stamp the desired Crazy Mixed Up Love image in Rose Red ink. Punch the top with the Scallop Oval Punch by inserting only the top of your card stock through the punch from the outside. Trim the bottom if necessary. Place in the desired position on your Rose Red Tag and adhere with either Tombow Glue or SNAIL. Put Dimensionals on the back of the tag and adhere to your card front at an angle. 5. Punch two Rose Red Small Hearts and adhere them with a Dimensional in the desired position. 6. If you want a fancy envelope then you can use the same Heart Embossing Folder to emboss your envelope flap. 7. Admire your cute Valentine’s Day Card.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Whisper White card base to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Real Red card front to 4″ x 5-1/4″ using the Paper Trimmer with the Rotary Addition and the Small Scallop cutting blade. Stamp random hearts and the Love Note in Cherry Cobbler ink on the card front. 3. Cut two small Envelope Liners from Real Red card stock. Trim one 1/4″ below the slanted dividing edge. Emboss across the center with the Heart Adorning Accents Embossing Folder. Round the top two corners. Now adhere with Sticky Strip along the sides and bottom to the whole Envelope Liner. Adhere to the card front at an angle. 4. Cut your Whisper White card at 1-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. Round the corners. Color your Love you to the Moon stamp with Cherry Cobbler and Chocolate Chip Markers and stamp in desired position on card. Stamp 4 small hearts in the corners using Real Red ink. Slide in the pocket you just made. 5. Stamp a Love Note in Cherry Cobbler ink on Whisper White card stock. Punch out with the Extra Large Oval punch. Stamp two small hearts with Real Red ink in the oval. Adhere to your Pocket with Dimensionals.
This is a fun Valentine card to make using the limited edition Flowerful Heart Stamp and the Fresh Prints patterned paper from the Occasions 2014 Catalog! The Stamp is only available until January 27th or while supplies last.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Pink Pirouette card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Designer Series Paper into strips using your Paper Cutter. Make sure the leaf parts don’t show down the center of your cutting ruler before you cut. 3. Line up the Strips on your card front leaving spaces in between. No the spaces won’t be even because of the varied length of the strips. It doesn’t really matter. Adhere the Strips with SNAIL. Trim off the overhanging ends with scissors. 4. Stamp your Happy Valentine’s Day and Flowerfull Heart in Real Red ink on Whisper White card stock. 5. Cut out your Heart with the coordinating Heart Framelit. Cut the next larger Heart Framelit from Red Glimmer Paper. Layer the Hearts together with Dimensionals. 6. Punch out your Modern Label from Red Glimmer Paper. Now finally punch out your sentiment with the Word Window Punch. Adhere sentiment to Glimmer Paper with Tombow Glue. 7. Put Dimensionals on the back of the layered Hearts and the layered sentiment. Adhere in desired positions on card front. Add Basic Rhinestones to the center of the stamped flowers if desired. 8. Give to someone special for Valentine’s Day ! OR change the sentiment and use for a Wedding or Anniversary card.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Whisper White card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Whisper White card front at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Run through your Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder. Adhere to card base with Tombow Glue. 3. Cut your Cherry Cobbler card stock at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. You have a couple of options here.
Note: Look at the cutting edge side of your Thinlit. Notice that there are Honeycomb Hexagons that do NOT have the cutting edge around them. I ran mine through three times trying to get those to cut out. 🙂
~Option 1: (I used this one.) Cut out your Honeycomb Hive Thinlit. Sandwich: Magnetic OR Multipurpose Platform (all tabs closed), Cutting Plate, card stock, Wax Paper, Honeycomb Hive Thinlit, Cutting Plate.
~Option 2: (Considering using this one.) Cut out a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet. Peel off one side and stick it to your 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Cherry Cobbler card stock. Use the same sandwich as in Option 1 laying your card stock side up, adhesive side down. 4. Punch out the Hexagons. Save the rest for another project. I will be posting a project on Valentine’s Day that will use it. 5. Stamp “Love You More” and the arrows on a piece of 1-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ Whisper White card stock. Cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock at 2″ x 3-3/4″. Layer the two together with Dimensionals. Decide where you want your label and some of the Hexagons you cut out. Adhere your label to the card front with Dimensionals. 6. Position your Hexagons as desired.
~Option 1: If you used Option 1 above you will need to use Tombow Glue to stick your Hexagons to your Honeycomb embossed card front.
~Option 2: If you used Option 2 above you will need to peel off the sticker back and adhere the Hexagons to your Honeycomb embossed card front. 7. Write a nice note inside before you give it to your Man.
Every Wednesday until Valentine’s Day there will be a Valentine Card for you. This one uses The Language of Love stamp set from the NEW Occasions 2014 Catalog. You could also use this card for a Wedding or Anniversary.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Whisper White card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Real Red Core’dinations Paper at 4″ x 5-1/4″. Run through your Big Shot with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder. Sand the raised parts with your Sanding Block. Adhere to your card base with Tombow Glue. 3. Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Stamp your Heart Border in Real Red ink so the top of the Hearts are about 1/4″ from the edge of the card stock and the border is centered along each edge. Use your Paper Trimmer to trim around the outside edges about 1/8 to 1/4″ on each edge. Now use your Paper Trimmer to cut out the inside. Use the clear ruler to help you position cutting line. The White part of the Frame is about 5/8″ wide on my card. When your Frame is cut, use Tombow Glue to adhere it your your Core’dinations card stock making sure to leave an equal border around all the edges. 4. Cut the Hearts A Flutter Framelit Heart out of Silver Glimmer Paper. 5. Stamp the Language of Love Heart stamp in Real Red ink on Whisper White card stock. Punch it out with the Full Heart Punch. 6. Punch out two Real Red Hearts. Cut one in half lengthwise and the other in half width-wise. Put SNAIL adhesive on the back of the Whisper White stamped Heart. Now take the Real Red Heart top and adhere it to the back of your Whisper White Heart making a narrow (about 1/8″) mat. Now add the two Heart halves to the back, adding SNAIL to help hold them in place and also making about a 1/8″ mat around your Heart. Now add the bottom point of your Heart to the back adding SNAIL as necessary and leaving a 1/8″ mat. Trim if necessary. Use Dimensionals on the back of your Heart with a mat and adhere it to your Silver Glimmer Paper Heart. Use Dimensionals to adhere your layered Heart to the center front of your card inside the Frame. 7. Give to someone special to let them know you care!
Happy Valentine’s Day! Here is a My Digital Studio Valentine Card I made just for you. I used the Coloring Tool to color the images in the Heart. I used Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple. Make one today for your Family and Friends and wish them a Happy Valentine’s Day! You could also make this card with “Real Card Stock!”
1. When coloring in the Heart images I used Gumball Green for all the Leaf-Like images and Raspberry Ripple for the Flowers and Bird. I found it helpful to make the image a little larger with the Zoom function. I could then get the brush to color in the correct places without going into an area I wanted the other color. But, like my grandson says, you can’t color outside the lines. Well you can if you use the Free Form Brush, but that’s another project. 2. You could make this as a “Real Card Stock” Card if you colored the images on the stamp with your Markers. The Heart would be a little smaller. I would probably use an embossing folder for the background if I did this in “Real Card Stock” and ink.
Here is a Shabby Chic Valentine card that was originally an All-Occasions card. It uses the new Distressing Tool from the Spring 2013 Catalog. I normally don’t like the distressed look, but this was fun to do so you might see more. I LOVE the distressed look on the Core’dinations card stock!
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Raspberry Ripple card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. Sponge around the edges with your Sponge Dauber and Primrose Petals ink. 2. Cut your Primrose Petals Core’dinations card stock at 4″ x 5-1/4″. Run through your Big Shot with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder. Use the Distressing Tool around the edges. (Watch my Edge Techniques video to see how I use the Distressing Tool. It is at the end.) I like to use the center blade to get a more rolled effect. Use the Sanding Block and sand the raised embossing using circular motions. Sand until you get the look you want. Put SNAIL on the card base and adhere your embossed layer. 3. Tie your Bow. I gave each stamper 14″. I used 12″ when I cut it off the spool. 4a.Valentine Card. Cut a Heart from the More Amore Designer Series Paper. Stamp the “Be My Valentine” sentiment in Raspberry Ripple ink. (Next time I think I will Heat Emboss it with Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder.) Sponge the edges using your Sponge Dauber and Primrose Petals ink. Adhere to Paper Doily using Dimensionals. (Note: I have been using a double layer of Dimensionals to adhere these Hearts.) Position Paper Doily and Ribbon as desired. Adhere the Paper Doily with SNAIL on the solid center. Adhere Ribbon with Glue Dots. 4b.All Occasion Card. Stamp “Feel Goods” sentiment on Whisper White card stock using Raspberry Ripple ink. Cut around it with scissors. Don’t worry about getting it perfectly rounded because the Distress Tool will do that for you. Now use your Distress Tool to round the edges. Sponge the edges with your Sponge Dauber and Primrose Petals ink. Lightly sponge the center of your Paper Doily. Adhere your Sentiment with Dimensionals. Position Ribbon and Paper Doily as desired. Adhere the Paper Doily with SNAIL on the solid center. Adhere Ribbon with Glue Dots. 5. Admire your Shabby Chic Card!
I used the More Amore Designer Series Paper to make this fun Valentine card. I love the Laser Cut Hearts! I was planning on using the other side of the Designer Series Paper but accidentally put the SNAIL on the side I wanted in front. I do like it this way better. The hearts in the corner are punched using the Small Heart Punch. It was really quick and easy to make, even with the mistake. You can get quite a variety of looks just by changing the Designer Series Paper pattern and the color of the Laser Cut Heart.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Cherry Cobbler card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Designer Series Paper at 3-7/8″” x 5-1/4″. 3. Punch a Small Heart from your Post-it-Note making sure part of it is on the sticky part. Place your Post-it Heart in the desired position in the corner of your Designer Series Paper. Line up the Heart Punch with punched Post-it-Note and punch. Repeat with the other three corners. Now adhere your Punched Designer Series Paper to your card base. 4. Hold up the Laser Cut Hearts to your card front and choose the color you like best with the paper pattern you chose. Cut the desired color of Laser Cut Heart from the sheet. 5. Choose the sentiment you want and stamp it on your Laser Cut Heart with VersaMark. Now dump your White Embossing Powder on it. Remove the excess and put it back in the jar. Melt it with your Heat Tool. 6. Put Dimensionals on the back. One layer of Dimensionals wasn’t enough for me so I put another Dimensional on top of each of the first ones (Two story Dimensionals). Adhere to your card front. 7. Admire your fun Valentine Card.
You can get all the supplies to make this Valentine Card In My Online Store.
My four-year-old grandson got really excited when he saw this Oh, Whale! stamp set in the catalog as I was looking through it in December trying to decide what to pre-order. (If you become a Demonstrator you can also order products from the NEW Catalogs a month before the general public can! Click the “Join My Team” Tab at the top of the page.)
This would be a simple card to make multiples of. If you are going to make multiples I would recommend getting the Oh, Wave! Wheel to make your waves and letting the child roll the waves onto the card stock. Why not let them help! I am all for creating an independent Crafter! That way we can work side by side on our own projects!
Crafting also teaches children many important skills, both mental skills and fine motor skills. Learning these skills is extremely important in advancing their development of other learning skills. (Is that a good enough reason/excuse to share your love of crafting with them?)
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Choose Heart Framelit size you want and cut one from Whisper White card stock using your Big Shot. I chose the largest one that wasn’t scalloped. 2. Decide how far up you want your “water” to go. Line up the straight edge of your Marina Mist card stock to that height on the same Heart Framelit used before. 3. Stamp the Waves in Marina Mist ink on your “Water”. Trim the top waves with your paper snips. 4. Hold your “Water” up on the card and decide where to stamp your sentiment. Stamp it in Real Red Ink. Stamp lots of small Hearts in the rest of the “Sky” part of your card. 5. Adhere your Marina Mist “Water” to your Whisper White Heart with Tombow Glue. 6. Stamp your Whale in Midnight Muse ink on Whisper White card stock. Cut out using the Happy Whale Clearlits Die and your Big Shot. Adhere the Whale to your card with either Dimensionals or Tombow Glue. 7. Find the little white fish that you cut with your Clearlits Die. Color it with your Real Red Marker. Add an eye with the Basic Black Marker. Adhere it to your card with Tombow Glue. 8. Write any desired sentiments on the back of your card such as the TO: and FROM: . 9. Admire your cute little Whale Valentine card.
