Use a Stamp-a-ma-jig if desired. 6. Decorate the envelope flap with the Falling Flowers Flourish you used on the front of your card. 7. Give it to someone you love.
Enjoy using the Falling Flowers Bundle and the Flourishing Phrases stamp sets!
This Raccoon Card is the first card I made when my first order from the NEW 2016-2017 Catalog arrived. It was fun and fairly easy to make. Have fun playing with this Foxy Friends stamp set! This card would be great for the nature lovers and men and boys. SUPPLIES: Bundle:Foxy Friends Photopolymer stamps + Fox Builder Punch #142326 Inks: Crumb Cake
Old Olive & Always Artichoke Markers Card Stock: Thick Whisper White
Whisper White A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper Stack (6×6) #141637 Adhesive: Fast Fuse or SNAIL
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Thick Whisper White card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. SCORE and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Foxy Paper at 4″ x 5-1/4″. Attach to card base. 3. Cut your Whisper White card stock at 3-5/8″ x 4-1/4″. 4. Stamp:
~Raccoon body in Crumb Cake
~Raccoon tail stripes in Soft Suede
~Raccoon eye patches and ears in Soft Suede
~Raccoon Face in Memento Black
~Tree stump in Chocolate Chip
~Leaf sprig in Old Olive
~Leaf Arch in Old Olive
~Tree in Old Olive and Always Artichoke. Both my ink pads and markers need to be reinked….. NOTE: Before stamping the Tree punch out the images using the Fox Builder Punch. Trim the Tail piece in about 1/8″ all around. Center the tail piece over the stamped tail and use the head piece to cover his back legs but put it in about 1/8″. This 1/8″ inset will make the tree stamp closer to the body so you won’t have to color in as much white space around the Raccoon tail and body.
~Use your Old Olive Marker to make little lines for grass. 5. Attach stamped piece to card base.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Rich Razzleberry card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and Fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Sweet Sugarplum card front at 4″ x 5-1/4″.
~Take to your Big Shot and put on your Precision Base Platform (which is on either your Magnetic Platform or your Multipurpose Platform).
~Lay your Sweet Sugarplum card stock on the Precision Base Platform.
~When you lay each of the Detailed Floral Thinlits on your Sweet Sugarplum card stock leave the same distance to the edge of the card stock on all three sides. (I wish I would have done that. It cut differently than I thought.)
~Now lay your FLAT cutting plate on top and run through your Big Shot.
~Use your Big Shot Die Brush and foam pad to remove all the tiny pieces. You can also use your Bone Folder or a toothpick to remove the pieces.
~Use the Fine Tip Glue Pen to add dots of glue around the edges and at some spots in the center of each die cut part of your card front. Attach to your card base. Smooth over the whole piece with your Bone Folder to make sure glue attaches well to your card base. 3. Stamp the Thank You phrase in Rich Razzleberry ink.
Enjoy using your Floral Frames stamp set and Detailed Floral Thinlits to make some cards!

Here are Stamping 101 and Stamping 102 cards made by my friends at our Upline Meeting. I hope this inspires you to make your own Stamping 101 and Stamping 102 cards.
MADE BY KAREN Karen used the NEW Swirly Bird Photopolymer Bundle #142353. For her 101 card she just stamped on the card base. For her 102 card she cut the card front off at 4″ x 5-1/4″ and layered it on a Dapper Denim card base. She also added some die cuts from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. MADE BY BILLIE Billie used the NEW Designer Tin of Cards Photopolymer #141739 stamp set. I did not get a picture of her Stamping 101 card. She just stamped the words directly on the card base for 101 and added the layers (Layering Squares Framelits) for 102. She also added some Pearls for 102. MADE BY SHARON Sharon’s Stamping 101 card has everything just stamped on the card base. For her Stamping 102 card she just stamped the tree and leaves a second time on Whisper White card stock then cut it in a rectangle and layered it with the same color of card stock as she stamped the Tree in. She them punched out a small heart and layered it on the rectangle. She used the Sheltering Tree stamp set Photopolymer #137163.
I hope this gives you some ideas to either simplify your cards using Stamping 101 Techniques, OR add some layers, die cuts, or embellishments for a Stamping 102 Card.
At our Upline Meeting at Sharon’s House she had us do a basic single layer card (Stamping 101), then add some elements with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give the card some Pop (Stamping 102). The purpose of this was to help us help teach beginning stampers to design their own cards – which are usually stamped on the card base, then step it up with a few simple additions. It was a fun experience. Try it for yourself and have some fun! It took us about 1-1/2 hours to make the two versions. We did just use our Stamping 101 card and added to it.
We started out with a NEW Stamp set in front of us. I even got to assemble it for her since it was Wood Mount. She had all the NEW In Color ink pads, card stock, and the NEW Ruched Ribbon. There was also Whisper White card stock, the NEW Duet Banners Punch, and the NEW Layered Squares Framelits.
STAMPING 101 CARD INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Whisper White card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. Watch this Video if you need help making a card base. 2. Lay your card base in the landscape position – with the fold at the top. 3. Stamp your words in the center of the frame in Emerald Envy ink. Use your Stamp-a-ma-jig if you want. Watch this Video to learn how to use your Stamp-a-ma-jig. 4. Choose the ink stamps and the ink color for each stamp. Stamp each stamp diagonally in the same direction in at least two places. Fill in any large spaces with the smaller stamps. Yes, one stamp will look like it is going backwards. No one will notice unless you tell them. Remember to stamp straight down and straight up to avoid getting “Ring around the Rubber”. 5. Your basic Stamping 101 card is finished!
STAMPING 102 CARD INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Follow all the steps for the Stamping 101 card. You do NOT need to stamp the words in the center as you will be covering them up. 2. Stamp the following on a scrap of Whisper White card stock.
~Stamp the Painter’s Easel two times in Dapper Denim ink.
~Stamp the words in Emerald Envy inside one of the Frames of a Painter’s Easel.
~Stamp “A Little Expression of Love” In Emerald Envy ink. 3. Use your Paper Snips to cut out around one of your stamped Painter’s Easels. Only the two feet and the top will be showing so cut those pieces extra well and the frame will be covered up. Attach to the center of your card with either SNAIL, Fast Fuse, or Tombow Glue. 4. Choose the Layered Square Framelit you like best to cut the Frame out of the other stamped Painter’s Easel. I chose a Scallop one that was slightly larger than the Frame. Cut it out with your Big Shot. Sponge around the Scallop edges with a Stamping Sponge wedge and Dapper Denim ink. Attach over the Frame of your Painter’s Easel which is on your card front. 5. Punch out the “A Little Expression…” with the Duet Banner Punch. Put your card stock in the punch so you can see the stamped words through the Banner holes in the bottom of the punch. Line up the words so they are in the position you like and punch. Sponge some Emerald Envy ink around the edges of the punched banner. Put some Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of your punched banner. Attach it to the upper left corner of your card front. 6. Tie a bow with the Ruched Ribbon. If you have trouble tying a bow, just tie a knot with about 1-1/2″ on one end and then cut off the other end to match. Attach to your Painter’s Easel on the upper right corner with Glue Dots. 7. A few extra steps can take your card from cute and nice to impressive.
Have fun making a Stamping 101 Card and then adding some layers to it for your Stamping 102 card!
This card uses the NEW Marquee Messages stamp set. It is another stamp set I received at On Stage in April. This is a fun stamp set to layer and add bling to! There are words for a lot of occasions included in the stamp set. So use the favorite color(s) of the person you are giving it to and impress them with your talents. NOTE: There are a lot of steps to this card, but all the steps go really quickly so it is a kind of quick card to make.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Melon Mambo card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Whisper White card front at 3-3/4″ x 5″. 3. Stamp your Marquee image using Memento Black ink on your Whisper White card front at the angle you want and on a scrap of Melon Mambo card stock. 4. Stamp your choice of “You Are” or “It’s Your” in the center of your Marquee in Memento Black ink. Color in the letters with your Real Red Marker. 5. Color in the little rectangle banner strips on the side of your Marquee with your Melon Mambo Marker. Color in the two stars with your Melon Mambo marker. You can also color in the shaded parts of the image with your Smoky Slate marker if desired. 6. Stamp your choice of “Awesome”, “Birthday”, or “Invited” in Rose Red ink in the lower banner. Also stamp the small sentiment in either Rose Red or Real Red ink. Attach to your Melon Mambo card base. 7. Cut out the Melon Mambo squared Arrow with your Paper Snips. Add Dimensionals to the back and attach over the stamped squared Arrow on your card front. 8. Add Silver Dazzling Details to:
~the dots on your squared Melon Mambo Arrow.
~the “string” along the thin rectangle banner strips.
~the center of the two stars. 9. Set aside to dry for at least a couple of hours so the Dazzling Details won’t smear. 10. Whoever you decide to give this to will be impressed!
I received this Moroccan Nights stamp set at On Stage. Sarah did a cool demonstration using it which inspired me to use the image in layers. It does involve fussy cutting, but is pretty easy. I used all the NEW 2016-2018 In Colors. Enjoy making one of these cards yourself. Here is a link to print up a Wish List for all the NEW things you need to come to your house. SUPPLIES: *=available June 1, 2016 Stamps: *Moroccan Nights Wood #141715, Clear #141718
*Love & Affection Photopolymer #141545 Ink: *Peekaboo Peach #141398
*Flirty Flamingo #141397
*Sweet Sugarplum #141395
*Emerald Envy #141396
*Dapper Denim #141394 Card Stock: Whisper White
Thick Whisper White Punch: 3/4″ Circle Punch Other: Paper Snips
Stamping Sponge wedge
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Stamp your large medallion image on Whisper White card stock in each of the five colors. 2. Decide how you are going to cut them and stack them. You can choose the color order you want from bottom to top. I will give instructions for the way I cut them. 3. Cut out your images. Put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of each layer.
~Bottom Layer-Dapper Denim. Cut around the outside edges of the stamped image using straight cuts. You can do more curvy cutting if you want, but I just used straight lines.
~4th Layer-Emerald Envy. Cut around the circles and the “U” shape that connects them.
~3rd Layer-Sweet Sugarplum. Cut the “U” and the points that go to the center of the Emerald Envy Circles.
~2nd Layer-Flirty Flamingo. Cut points around each flower petal end.
~Top Layer-Peekaboo Peach. Cut in a circle around the small center flower.
NOTE: Next time the order will probably be: Sweet Sugarplum, Dapper Denim, Peekaboo Peach, Emerald Envy, then Flirty Flamingo at the top. The Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo, and Peekaboo peach need to be separated because they blend together so well and need the Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy to separate them. 4. Cut your Thick Whisper White card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. SCORE and fold at 4-1/4″. You really do need to score so your fold will look nice and crisp instead of crinkly because the card stock really does not like to fold without a score line. 5. Now that your images are layered together, decide which sentiment to use. I used one from the NEW Love & Affection stamp set. Stamp your sentiment in Dapper Denim ink. 6. Stamp the two flowers in Peekaboo Peach ink either next to your sentiment OR (if desired or if you mess up stamping the image and get ring around the rubber) you can stamp your flowers on a separate piece of Whisper White card stock, punch them out with the 3/4″ circle punch, and sponge around the edges with Peekaboo Peach ink. Attach to your card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. 7. Attach your layered Medallion with Stampin’ Dimensionals to your card front.
Here is a card made with items I preordered at OnStage. I finally had a chance to sit down and play with them. The stamp set is the NEW Painter’s Pallette. The card stock, Designer Series Paper, Washi Tape feature the NEW In Colors. Copper Embossing Powder was used for the Frame and stand. I hope you enjoy this bright and happy feeling card. You can order the *NEW supplies on June 1, 2016. If you want them earlier, consider signing up SUPPLIES: *=available June 1, 2016

INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Emerald Envy card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. Watch this Video to learn about Basic Card Bases. 2. Cut your patterned paper at 4″ x 5-1/4″. Attach to your card base. 3. Add your center Washi Tape strip with the lower edge about 1-1/2″ from the lower card base edge. I usually tape the Washi Tape to my table to hold the card steady while adding the other pieces. Add a second Washi Tape design next to both edges of the first Washi Tape Strip. Trim off the excess that hangs over the sides. 4. Stamp the Frame and Stand in VersaMark ink on Very Vanilla card stock. Add Copper Embossing Powder. Remove excess. Melt with Heat Tool on High setting. Watch this Video to learn how to Heat Emboss. 5. Use your Stamp-a-ma-jig to help get your stamped image in the center of the Frame. Watch this Video to learn how to use your Stamp-a-ma-jig. Stamp with Emerald Envy ink. 6. Cut out your Frame and Stand with Paper Snips. Attach to your card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
NOTE: You can change the card stock colors, patterned paper, and ink colors to make each card your own! You can also color your Pop-Ups or cut outs with markers.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Mint Macaron card base
~No Pop-Up: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”. Score and fold at 4-1/4”.
~With Pop-Up: 4-1/4” x 11” and fold and score at 5-1/2”. 1a. Complete Pop-Up Instructions as shown in the Video above before working on card front. Stamp the inside now if desired. 2. Cut your patterned paper at 4” x 5-1/4”. Attach to front of card base. 3. Flat Pop-Up Thinlit cutting instructions. Just cut out of a piece of card stock with no fold line. Cut at the end of the letters and the cake plate.
Cut out your Happy Birthday from a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock using the Precision Base Plate and a FLAT Cutting Plate. Since this is NOT a Pop-Up you don’t have to pay attention to the arrows on the Thinlit. Separate the card stock from the Thinlit using the Big Shot Die Brush. Attach to card front with Fine Tip Glue Pen.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Crumb Cake card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Stamp 1 large flower and 2 small flowers on Whisper White card stock using Rose Red ink. Cut them out with the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits. Attach them to the Wood Heart Frame with Glue Dots. 3. Choose your patterned paper by holding your decorated Wood Heart Frame over the different patterns in your Paper Stack. 4. Cut the patterned paper you chose at 3″ x 6″. Put SNAIL on the back long edges and a strip down the center. Angle the paper the way you want it. Mine has about 1/2″ on the lower and upper edges. Add your Bow on a Paper Clip before you press down the adhesive well. Press down the paper so the adhesive stick. 5, Put 6-8 Glue Dots on the back of your Wood Heart Frame and attach it to the angled paper. 6. Stamp some small Hearts on your card front in Rose Red ink.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Blushing Bride card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your patterned paper at 4″ x 5-1/4″. 3. Cut a 6 to 6-1/2″ piece of Ribbon. Lay the Ribbon so the lower edge is about 1″ from the bottom of the patterned paper. Put Fast Fuse or SNAIL on the back side of your patterned paper where the Ribbon ends will wrap around. Attach your Ribbon ends pulling your Ribbon kind of tight, but not so tight it will make your paper curl. Attach to your card base with Fast Fuse. 4. Attach your Gold Foil Heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals. 5. Stamp your Banner and Love You on Blushing Bride card stock in Real Red ink. Cut out with scissors. Attach to the Gold Foil Heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals. 6. Attach a Wood Heart to y with 2-3 Glue Dots. Place Glue Dots all around your Wood Heart. Measure the Pearls to go around the Heart. I used 13. Yes, you do need lots of Glue Dots all around your Wood Heart to hold the Pearls in place. They really do not like staying in a circle otherwise.
The Love Blooms Embellishment Kit has lots of fun pieces to work with! I still have quite a few pieces left. The 4th card is posted on my Newsletter Projects Site and is available for all my Newsletter subscribers who register for the site after signing up for my Newsletter.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Thick Whisper White card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your patterned paper at 4-1/4″ x 4-3/4″. Attach to card base. 3. Cut your Rose Red or Pink Pirouette card stock at 4-1/4″ x 3-3/4″ OR 4″. The Pink Pirouette card stock is cust at 3-3/4″ x 4-1/4″. The Rose Red card stock is cut at 4″ x 4-1/4″. Attach to patterned paper layer in the desired position. Trim excess off edges if needed. 4. Cut your Butterfly pieces. Use the large Bold Butterfly Framelit to cut the patterned paper of your choice. Use the medium Butterflies Thinlit to cut either a Rose Red or Whisper White Butterfly. Glue the patterned butterfly to the Thinlit Butterfly piece. Let dry. 5. Cut out the “Happy” or “Hello” and “You” using the Hello You Thinlit. I used the Precision Base Plate and a FLAT Cutting plate. The Big Shot Die Brush helps the pieces come out a lot more quickly. 6. Stamp the desired word(s) from the Crazy About You stamp set in Rose Red ink on a 3/8″ x at least 4″ Whisper White card stock. Watch this Videoto see how to use the Word Window Punch with longer words. I colored the around the edge with the Rose Red Marker, or just use your ink pad to color around the edges. 7. Lay out all your pieces on your card front. Bend the Butterfly wings up by the body. Attach in the desired places. Adhesives:
~Fine Tip Glue: Happy
~Tombow Glue: Gold Foil Heart
~Glue Dots: center of the Butterfly body, Sequins, Wood Heart, Pearl String
~Dimensionals: Mother’s Day 8. Finish the Butterfly. You can decorate the Butterfly body with either a small wood heart and two pink enamel dots, or sequins, or even part of the pearl string. Cut two sets of Pearls with 8 pearls. These become the antennas. Use a Glue Dot to attach each end of the Antenna Pearls. 9. Add a few sequins to the card front with Glue Dots.
Here are my Swap Cards for the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event next week.
What is a Swap? Either a card, card front, card element such as Artist Trading Card (ATC), or 3D item made with current Stampin’ Up! products that you trade with others for one of their Swap cards/items. This is a great way to get lots of fun ideas. I will post some of the swaps I receive starting the last week in April. This year my swaps are simple as I have had to make them myself. They are a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ sheet of card stock with no layers.
Grateful Bunch Card:
Grateful Bunch stamp set Ink: Pacific Point
Melon Mambo Card Stock: Whisper White
Rose Wonder Card:
Rose Wonder stamp set Ink: Rose Red ink
Because the stamps I used are Photopolymer I used the Stampin’ Pierce Mat for my stamping surface.

Curl the flower tips with your Bone Folder or your fingers. 3. Lay out your Flowers on the stamped Leaves where you want them. Attach with 2-4 Glue Dots each. Add Rhinestones to the 2 smaller flowers. Attach a small Vintage Faceted Button to the large flower with 3-4 Glue Dots. Tie a bow with the Baker’s Twine and attach it with a Glue Dot.
Today is my Botanical Blooms class. We are making 4 cards including the two posted earlier this week. I also made another card from some of the pieces. Since I could not decide which ones to post I will show you all three. I will only give brief details for each. They all use the Botanical Blooms Bundle (stamps, Framelits, Designer Series Paper) and one uses the Sale-a-bration Botanical Vellum paper. Have fun!
Card 1 – Three Squares Card
~Hello Honey squares are 2″ and sponged with Cajun Craze.
~The Designer Series Paper squares are 1-3/4″ square and sponged with Cajun Craze.
~The Vellum is 1-3/4″ x 5-1/2″. I laid out all the pieces and attached the squares to the Vellum. I then added adhesive under the squares to attach the Vellum to the Mossy Meadow card base.
Yellow Flower Card
~Hello Honey card base, Cajun Craze layer is 4″ x 5-1/4″. Patterned paper is 3-3/4″ x 5″. Use your stamp and Mossy Meadow ink to stamp lines on the blank leaves on the paper. I thought this was pretty fun.
~Stamp a large leaf lines and a medium leaf lines in Mossy Meadow ink on Mossy Meadow ink. Cut out with the coordinating size Leaf Framelits. Next time I will use Dimensionals under the leaves so they stand out better.
~Cut your Flower and two flower centers from Hello Honey card stock. Attach the centers with Glue Dots. I did not use Dimensionals under the center petals and will add them the next time.
Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Fern Card
~Cut your Daffodil Delight card base.
~Cut your Old Olive card front at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Cut out Ferns from the front. (I just used the piece I had cut the ferns out of for my class.) Attach it to your card base. I just used SNAIL. Tombow Glue would have been a better choice though.
~The Cajun Craze square is 1-1/2″. The patterned paper square is 1-1/4″. Both are sponged with Cajun Craze ink. These are attached to the card front with Dimensionals.
~The “thinking of you” is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and punched out with the Word Window Punch. The Daffodil Delight is punched out with the Washi Label Punch. The Botanical Garden Flower Jewel is attached with a Glue Dot.
Here is our second card using the Botanical Blooms Bundle and Botanical Gardens Vellum Stack. This card is much quicker to make than the last one shown, but still will impress the person you give it to. This card is even good to give to men! (But probably only if he is willing to wear a flowered Hawaiian shirt. You couldn’t pay my DH enough to wear a flowered shirt. My DILs could con my sons into wearing a flowered shirt though.) SUPPLIES: Botanical Blooms Bundle #140819 This Bundle includes: Botanical Blooms Photopolymer stamp set, Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper, and Botanical Builder Framelits. Card Stock: Hello Honey
Botanical Designer Vellum Paper Stack #141019 (Sale-a-bration product FREE with Botanical Blooms Bundle or other $50 purchase until March 31, 2016.) Big Shot: Botanical Builder Framelits (See Bundle above) Precision Base Plate #139684 Banner Framelits #132173 (Optional) Adhesives: Stampin’ Dimensionals
SNAIL or Tombow Glue
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Hello Honey card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Choose the Vellum pattern you want from the Vellum stack. Cut at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. 3. Cut your Mossy Meadow at 2-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Cut your Leaf Border with the Big Shot. I just used SNAIL on the back including the leaves to attach it to the Vellum. 4. Make your Banner. Choose the paper you want. I think I used the Banner Framelits. (I really should write things down!) It is about 1-7/8″ wide x 3-1/4″ long. You can just cut a rectangle and cut the notch or use the Banner Triple Punch. Attach it to the Vellum with Stampin’ Dimensionals. 5. Cut out your flower and fern parts.
~Cut your fern type leaf from Mossy Meadow. I used the Precision Base Platform. If you use your Magnetic or Multipurpose Platform make sure both cutting plates are FLAT so every part will cut well!! You can use the Big Shot Die Brush to help remove it from the Thinlit.
~Cut your large flower from Cajun Craze card stock
~Cut your Flower center from Hello Honey card stock 6. Assemble and attach your Flower and fern to the Banner. Lay out to decide where you want to put everything.
~Add your Fern with a couple of squished Glue Dots to make them thin enough to fit underneath the card stock. Notice the fern hangs off the Banner and over to the Leaf Border.
~Slightly curl up the Flower center and attach it to the Flower center with a Glue Dot or two.
~Place a half Stampin’ Dimensional on the back of the each center petal and in the center back of your flower. I also squished Glue Dots into a line and put at the tip of each thin outer flower petal. Place over the end of your Fern. (Sorry about all the white space. WordPress just would not do the crop like I wanted. I spent way too much time trying to fix it. I really wanted you to see how the inside petals stuck up with a half Dimensional under them.) 7. Put SNAIL or Glue Dots on the back of your Vellum under the Leaf Border solid areas and under the Banner pieces. Yes, the lower left lorner is loose and not attached. 8. You now have another all occasion card to give someone special.
This week’s posts will feature the Botanical Gardens Bundle and the coordinating Sale-a-bration Botanical Vellum Stack. I hope you have as much fun with this Bundle as I have. It has been very easy to be creative. I will throw in a post on Thursday for St. Patrick’s Day that does not use the Bundle though. We are making these cards for my Botanical Blooms Class this Friday. Attach to the top of your card front leaving a small border at both sides and the top. 3. Cut the bottom part of your card front top layer at 1-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. This paper has a black background with small colored flowers on it. I first thought it was polka dots.
~Find the coordinating Vellum Pattern. I cut it at 1-1/4″ x 6″ and moved and flipped it around until it mostly matched up with the flowers on the Botanical Gardens paper.
~Attach the Botanical Gardens paper to the card front leaving a small border at the bottom. It might slightly overlap the top paper.
~Attach the Vellum with a Glue Dot in each lower corner and one in the upper center of the Vellum. Since the Glue Dots show through the Vellum you will be covering them up later.
~Trim the excess Vellum from the edges of your card front. 4. Now for some Big Shot Fun! I used the Magnetic Platform for the flowers and larger leaves. I added the Precision Base Plate for the fern type leaves and their Cajun Craze tops.
~Stamp two leaf veins (with the dots) in Old Olive ink on Old Olive card stock. Cut them out with the coordinating medium leaf Framelit.
~Cut from Hello Honey card stock: 1 large flower with the petal flaps (The solid looking Framelit/Thinlit), and three small flowers. Stamp the centers with Cajun Craze ink.
~Cut 5 of the fern type leaves from Old Olive card stock. I used a toothpick to help remove them from the Thinlit. You could also use the Big Shot Die Brush.
~Cut 3 tips from the fern type Thinlit. I included between 3 and 6 leaves. Glue these to to top of your Old Olive fern type leaves. Notice I did not get them matched up very well and it added a more dimensional effect to these “flowers”. 5. Time to assemble. Attach everything after it is positioned they way you want. I am including the adhesives which you will add after you have positioned everything.
~Lay out the two medium leaves facing downward in the center. Use either Glue Dots or Glue. Use only teeny amounts of glue so it will stay where you put it and not bleed out onto the card stock.
~Two fern type leaves should angle down to cover the Glue Dots in the corners. I used a couple of Glue Dots squished into a thin line to attach these leaves. Make sure one is on the tip over the Glue Dot so it will stay in place and hide the lower Glue Dot at the corner.
~The fern type leaves with the Cajun Craze “Flowers” will point towards the top of the card. Have the center one point up and the other two angle towards the side of the card. Attach with squished Glue Dots like you did with the other Ferns.
~The Large Flower is positioned in the center to cover as many leaf ends as you can. I attached it with half Dimensionals under the center of the petals so they would poke up. There is also a Dimensional under the flower center. If desired, you can attach the thin petal edges with a Glue Dot at the tips.
~The three small flowers are attached with a half Dimensional each. Use them to cover any other leaf ends you have showing. 6. Hold up your card and admire it! You deserve to enjoy it after all the work you have put into it!!
This Rose Wonder card is quick and easy and is made on the card base with no extra layers. A customer commented that most cards today involve very little stamping, lots of layers with die cuts or punches. So I am accepting the challenge to make at least one card a week that involves more stamping and less layers. The Grateful Bunch Collage Card was the first, this is the second single layer card. Have fun! SUPPLIES: Stamps:Rose Wonder Photopolymer #140697 (Bundle with Rose Garden Thinlits #140804) Ink: Melon Mambo

Baby Wipe or wet paper towel to remove some of the ink from embossing folder
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Rose Red card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. Put your card front inside the Polka Dot embossing folder folding the card back under the embossing folder. Run through your Big Shot. 2. Stamp your four Flowers with Rose Red ink using the Rose Wonder Flower that coordinates with the Thinlit. I did use the Precision Base Plate with my Big Shot to cut these flowers out. Cut all four flowers out using your Big Shot and the coordinating Thinlit. 3. Choose the words you want on your card, then choose the Fun Frame embossing folder that your words fit in. Stamp your words in Cherry Cobbler ink on Rose Red card stock making sure you have enough room for your Fun Frame. You can see my choices. Feel on the inside of your embossing folder for the side where the images sink down to leave indents (not being raised above the plastic). Take your Cherry Cobbler ink pad and run it over your embossing folder on the side where the images sink down. Make sure all the flat parts which include the dots and the inner frame lines and outer frame lines are covered with ink. If you are like me, you will have ink covering most of the inside of the Frame where you want to stamp your image. Take a baby wipe or wet paper towel or tissue and wipe away the ink from places you don’t want it. Remoisten the ink on the embossing folder by opening your mouth wide and breathing on it. Now insert your Rose Red card stock into the embossing folder so the stamped words are positioned in the Fun Frame where you want them and run through your Big Shot. Run your embossing folder under running water to clean. Cut out your Fun Frame using Paper Snips or scissors. 4. Lay out your Flowers and Frame. Decide where your Glitter Tape will go remembering that Stampin’ Dimensionals do not stick to the Glitter Tape. Attach your Glitter Tape to your card front. Attach your Flowers with 2 Glue Dots under the center small circles. Attach your Fun Frame with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Put dots of Dazzling Details on each of the flower center circles. Set aside to dry. 5. You can use the Flower stamp to decorate your envelope OR you can emboss the envelope flap. Watch this Video to learn how to emboss the envelope flap.
