INSTRUCTIONS:

1-Cut Your Papers:

~Thick Basic White Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
~Long Strips: 1″ x 8-1/2″. Cut one each from Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry cardstocks.
~Short Strips: 1″ x 5-1/2″: Cut Two each from Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry cardstocks.

2-Striped Card Front:

NOTE: I put the Glue directly on the Card Front instead of the Strips to prevent Glue from getting all over my work surface. Work on the Silicone Craft Sheet.

~Lay your Two Long Strips diagonally with them meeting at the center of the corners. Glue on.
~Alternate colors as you Glue the Short Strips onto your Card Front.
~There will be a space left at the corners. Trim off one of each color strip and glue it to the corners.
~Press firmly on all your strips so the Glue attaches well. Wait for a minute or so.
~Trim off the excess strips by turning your Card Base over and cutting off the strips from the back.

3-Glasses:

~Punch out the smaller Circle from Basic Black cardstock.
~Put your cardstock in the larger Circle Punch. Line up the cardstock so the edges are even. Punch.
~Repeat for the other part of the Glasses.
~Punch using the smaller Circle Punch to make the part that holds the Two Glasses Circles together. Then punch again so this part is about the same thickness as the full Circles. You will trim it to size later.

4-Word Strip:

NOTE: I had the movie DVD case and tried to copy the lettering. It took me several tries to get the words to look good and fit on the card front. This is why I decided to draw lines on my cardstock. Test your eraser before you start to make sure it will completely erase the pencil lines!! It is easier to work with a larger piece of cardstock so I trimmed it to size after I wrote the letters.

~Get a Pencil with a good eraser and draw Three Lines 1/4″ apart on your Basic White Cardstock. Also draw a line so the strip will be 4-1/4″.
~If desired, you can write the letters with the pencil first, then trace over them with the Crushed Curry Marker.
~Trim your Word Strip with your Paper Trimmer to make the Strip 3/4″ x 4-1/4″.

5-Finish Your Card:

~Lay Your Glasses pieces in the center of your Card Front with the full Circles even distance from the sides. Put a Glue Dot on each Glasses piece to hold the center strip that holds them together. Lay the Full Circles back in place. Attach the Center Piece to the Full Circles with the Glue Dots. Press well. Trim off the excess.
~Glue your Glasses to your Card Front.
~Take your Words and glue them to your Card Front.
~Add your Lightning Embellishments. If the adhesive does not come off with the Lightning use a Glue Dot to attach each Lightning Bolt.

Your Striped Harry Potter Gryffindor Birthday Card is finished.
