Star of Light Card

I just LOVED the Star of Light Bundle when I saw it in the catalog.  This is a very quick and easy card to make, but also very dramatic because of the 3D star and the gold embossing powder.  You might also want to try making this card using Silver Foil Sheets and Silver Embossing Powder.
Gold Star of Light CardSUPPLIES:
Bundle:  Star of Light photopolymer stamps + Star of Light Thinlits #143508
Ink: VersaMark
Card Stock:  Pacific Point
Gold Foil Sheets  #132622
Embossing Powder:  Gold #109129
Tools:  Big Shot
Embossing Buddy #103803
Heat Tool
Adhesives:  Stampin’ Dimensionals
Tombow Glue

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Cut your Pacific Point card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.  Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
2.  Cut out your Star using the Framelit and your Big Shot.  Make sure and cover the Gold Foil with a sheet of printer paper folded in half.  Now use the Scoring Thinlit to make the score lines on your Star.  NOTE:  I put the scoring side directly on the Gold side of the paper and it left little circles on it.  I would recommend putting it on the white side of the Gold Foil Sheet and making sure to put printer paper so it touches te Gold Foil.  Otherwise every little mark on your cutting plate will show up on your Gold Foil.
3.  Fold all score lines on your Star.  Decide where you want the Star, the large swirl, and your words.
4.  Rub your card front with your Embossing Buddy to prevent stray specks of embossing powder. Stamp your Large Swirl in VersaMark ink.  Cover with Gold Embossing Powder.  Remove the excess Embossing Powder.  Melt your Large Swirl with your Heat Tool.  Repeat with both sayings.
5.  Stack 3 Stampin’ Dimensionals together.  Cover the top Dimensional with Tombow Glue in a thick coat.  Put the Tombow Glue side in the center of your Gold Foil Star and hold for a bit so the Dimensional Stack will stay attached.  Remove the Dimensional backing from the bottom Dimensional and position the star.  You are finished!

Enjoy playing with the Star Star of Light Bundle!
