Stamping with Large Stamps: Tags & Tidings Video

Do you have trouble getting a good stamped image when using large stamps?  Try this easy trick to get a perfect image every time!  I am demonstrating this technique using the Tags & Tidings Bundle from the 2018 Holiday Catalog which has a large stamp and coordinating Framelit.

This Video is about 5-1/2 minutes long.

SUPPLIES:
Bundle:  Tags & Tidings  Photopolymer Bundle #
Ink: Call Me Clover
Markers:  Real Red
Shaded Spruce
Pineapple Punch
Crumb Cake

TIPS:
1,  Lay your stamp down with the stamp facing up.  Lay your cardstock gently on top of the stamp holding it down with your fingers so it does not slide and smear the ink.  Continue holding onto the cardstock while rubbing another stamp block over the cardstock where the stamp is.  Put your fingers on the other side of the cardstock while rubbing the other half of your stamp and cardstock.  Peel the cardstock of quickly, lifting straight it straight up so you don’t drag the cardstock over the stamp and add smears to your image.
2. When die-cutting your Tags & Tidings, line up the tags in two opposite corners such as the upper right corner and the lower left corner.  Everything else will line up nicely then.  Yes, there are parts that were stamped that don’t get cut out as part of the tag.

Simply Shammy Video

What is Simply Shammy and what do you do with it?  Simply Shammy is one of the Stamp Cleaning Tools from Stampin’ Up!  You just use water to keep it moist and clean your stamps.  Unlike other Stamp Cleaning products, it will not transfer color to your Photopolymer stamps.  I love it!  It is easy to use.  You just have to remember to let it air out overnight every couple of days.  Watch this video to see how easy it is to use.

This Video is almost 4 minutes long.

PRODUCTS:
Simply Shammy #147042
Clear-Mount Stamp Case #119105

TIPS:
~Ink will stain your Simply Shammy, but will not transfer to your stamps.  If you ink up a stamp and clean it without stamping, the ink may transfer to other stamps or your fingers/hands.
~Clean with water every day at either the start of the day or the end of the day to help it stay moist and clean any thick ink residue from the Shammy.
~You can store your Simply Shammy in a Clear-Mount Stamp Case or a quart Ziplock Bag.
~Leave your Storage stamp case or Ziplock Bag open overnight to prevent mildew and funny smells.
~Your Shammy may get hard when you leave it to dry out.  You can soften it up by running it under the tap, or put it in a container with water and let it soak for a bit.

OnStage November 2018-News and New Products

OnStage in Orlando was really fun!  I stayed with 6 women I had never met before and they were all really nice.  We had fun hanging out together!

The weather in Orlando was warm and humid outside.  Inside was cold and I only brought sandals so my toes were cold all day.  I also took Lyft several times and even once by myself.  This was a totally new experience for me.  The drivers were all very nice.

I traded my 50 swaps in less than 30 minutes before the first session started.  I received some wonderful cards and 3D items in return.

I was able to walk across the stage to celebrate 10 years of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.  I even had a photo with Sara Douglas, CEO of Stampin’ Up!  Sara has straight hair.  I have curly hair.

My OnStage Swaps

These are the cards I used for my Swaps (Cards to Trade with others) at OnStage last week.  They are all the same layout.  They just use different Designer Series Papers (DSP) and coordinating cardstock.  I pre-cut the cardstock and the 3″ x 4-1/4″ DSP.  In just an hour my three friends cut the DSP diagonally and assembled the cards.  I punched, then stamped the sentiments using my Stamparatus so I could stamp two sentiments at once with different colors of ink.  We were surprised at how quickly the cards were finished.  I will put the paper and ink information under each photo.

Dynamic Embossing Folder Video

Do you have any Thick Dynamic Embossing Folders?  Are your results not quite as “Dynamic” as you had hoped?  Watch this video and discover the simple trick to get more “Dynamic” results.

This Video is 3 minutes 15 seconds long.

SUPPLIES:
Whisper White cardstock or cardstock color of your choice
Stampin’ Spritzer #126185
Water from your sink tap
Big Shot:
Cable Knit Dynamic embossing Folder #143537

TIPS:
1.  Fill your Stampin’ Spritzer with Water.
2.  Only give 4-5 spritzes with your Stampin’ Spritzer.
3.  Use a Stampin’ Spritzer rather than a normal spray bottle.  The Spray Bottle will get the cardstock too wet making it curl as it drys. This will also make it harder lay flat when you attach it to your card.
