Here are My Favorite Paper Cutting Tools. Good quality Paper Cutting Tools help your paper crafting cards and projects have a professional look.
Paper Trimmer:
A good quality Paper Trimmer is essential to a great looking project! Straight, crisp lines make it easier to line up the elements of your project.
Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Trimmer provides great cuts with sliding blades. My blades last a long time before I need to change them.
Scissors:
There are times when you just need a good pair of scissors. I enjoy using the Stampin’ Up! Paper Snips. They have shorter blades perfect for fussy cutting and short straight cuts. Fussy cutting involves cutting around a stamped image.
Punches:
Stampin’ Up! has a variety of Punches.
Shape Punches have only one shape that you punch at a time. Most of these are perfect to stamp your Words on or a smaller images. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and you have a quick and easy card.
Builder Punches include two or more images on the same Punch. You can use these Punched images together to form a basic image in more than one color. Some of these Builder Punches also coordinate with a Stamp set, and/or are part of a Bundle.
Dies:
You will need a die cutting machine such as the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to use Dies.
Dies are a wonderful edition to your Cutting Tools!
You can use a Bundle that includes Stamps and Dies that coordinate. Some stamps will have a die meant to cut it out. No fussy cutting involved.
Choose Dies with Basic Shapes. You can use these with a variety of stamps.
Some of my favorites that are in the NEW Annual catalog (available May 3, 2022) are: Basic Borders, Layering Circles, and a new one: Stylish Shapes.
You might also enjoy Detailed Dies. The Detailed Dies provide intricate cuts. Some examples are the Artistic Dies, and the Brilliant Wings Dies. Look for some really beautiful Detailed Dies in the NEW Annual Catalog!
