My Digital Studio 2+ Download Tips and TWO MDS Cards

I finally bought and downloaded MDS2+ today. I will give you a few downloading tips.
1. Purchase it, then download it. You will be sent an email from Stampin’ Up! with a Product Key for My Digital Studio Express. Write down this Product Key.
2. Reboot/Restart your computer.
3. Go back to your Downloads file on your Browser or the place you downloaded it on your computer. Then click on it and the install wizard should pop up.
~Chrome: Click on the little wrench in the upper right hand corner, then click on downloads.
~Firefox: Click on the red “Firefox” in the upper left hand corner, then click on downloads.
~Internet Explorer: Click the “Tools” and then click on Downloads.
4. There will be several things to check and information to be typed in. Please TYPE in your Product Key. (It didn’t install for me when I copied and pasted the product key in the box.)
5. Patiently wait. When I called Demonstrator Support she said it took almost 1-1/2 hours to install on her home computer. It took a total of 34 minutes to complete the process on my computer. At the end a Registration and survey form will come up in your Browser. Fill out the information. It takes less than 5 minutes. Then you can open up the program and start playing!

Here are two cards I made today using the coloring tool and recoloring embellishments feature.

You’re My Sunshine card. I colored the “Sunshine” stamp with Daffodil Delight and YoYo Yellow. I also colored the pearls: small flowers-Basic Gray, large circles: Night of Navy. I also tested out changing the DSP color, but changed it back.

Love Life card. I colored the Pretty Frame Overlay stamp with Concord Crush and Handsome Hunter. I also colored the Love Life stamp with Pretty in Pink, Cherry Cobbler, Concord Crush, and Handsome Hunter. I was having trouble choosing colors that I was happy with for the large flower in the top center. So I tried the “Combos” tab in the Color Fill box. I just kept clicking until there was a choice I thought would work. I adjusted the Drop Shadows for all Stamps and Embellishments: Opacity 75%, Blur-Medium. It really does make a difference!
