These were made to try out my new Pillow Box Bigz die and Serif Essentials Alphabet dies. Yes, these dies are expensive. But… as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I get an extra 15% discount on the first item I order during my birthday month as a Birthday Present from Stampin’ Up! So that really means I got the dies for 35% off!!!! Who can resist a great deal??!! If you would like a deal like this, in addition to the other fun and perks (and yes, some work too), talk to or email me about joining my team. OR you could hold a Workshop with orders totaling of $400 or more and get anything in the catalog at 50% off!!! (Including a Big Shot or these dies!!!!!) Email me to discuss the details.
Anyway, back to my post. These cute little pillow boxes were for my daughter and her fiance. I delivered them last week. They each contained 2 of the round Lindt chocolates. The color combination is close to their wedding colors. My DD has always loved this color of green so I wasn’t surprised that it was one of her wedding colors. Her fiance’s favorite color is blue, so they chose a blue that looked good with the green she most liked in the fabric store. Feel free to use your favorite color combination!!!
SUPPLIES:
Card Stock: Green Galore (retired)
Pacific Point
Punch: 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle page 210 #118874
Big Shot: Pillow Box page 223 #113466
Serif Essentials Alphabet (Capital Letters) page 223 #113464
DIRECTIONS:
1. Die cut Pillow Box in desired color of card stock. Die cut desired Letter from Pillow Box scrap.
2. Fold straight score lines. Adhere side tab with Sticky Strip.
3. Punch Scallop Circle in a Contrasting Color. Adhere die cut letter in desired position on Scallop Circle. Adhere Scallop Circle to Pillow Box. If Letter sticks out over Scallop Circle, outline it using a contrasting color of Marker. I used the Pacific Point marker to outline the parts of the K that were against the green.
4. Fold in flaps on one end of the box. NOTE: When folding in the top flaps, fold the one with the half circle cut out first. This makes it easier to open the box.
5. Fill as desired. I used two round Lindt Chocolates.
6. Fold in last side flaps, remembering to fold in the one with the finger circle cut out first.
7. Admire your cute little Pillow Box before giving it to someone special.
