These Merry Christmas Star cards were part of my Christmas Stamp a Stack in October. Each person chose their favorite background design to make. Most chose the Silver Glimmer version even if it involved more cutting. Sorry, no Framelits to cut it out for you. You just get to use scissors. 🙂

Card Stock: Old Olive
Whisper White
Season of Style Designer Series Paper #132340
Silver Glimmer Paper for star background
Cherry Cobbler card stock OR Gold Foil Paper #132622 for “Merry”
Always Artichoke for star background

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Cut your Old Olive card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
2. Cut your Designer Series Paper at 4″ x 5-1/4″. Adhere to card base.
Star with Always Artichoke background.
3a. Stamp your Christmas Star in VersaMark ink onto Always Artichoke card stock. You can use either plain Gold Embossing Powder or you can use a combination of Gold Embossing Powder (2 parts) and Gold Glitter (1 part-I used 1/2 teaspoon for each part). Mix it well and use just like embossing powder. Melt with your Heat Tool. Cut from star point to star point to form a pentagon shape. Add the Old Olive bow embellishment if desired.

3b. Stamp your Christmas Star in VersaMark ink onto Whisper White card stock. You can use either plain Gold Embossing Powder or you can use a combination of Gold Embossing Powder (2 parts) and Gold Glitter (1 part-I used 1/2 teaspoon for each part). Mix it well and use just like embossing powder. Melt with your Heat Tool. Cut out the Christmas Star with your scissors. Add the Old Olive bow embellishment if desired. Use Tombow Glue to attach your Star to the Silver Glimmer Paper. Cut from star point to star point to form a pentagon shape.
Both Versions.
4. Cut your “Merry” using the Expressions Thinlits and your Big Shot. You can choose either Cherry Cobbler card stock or Gold Foil Paper. If using Gold Foil Paper use a newer cutting plate as the lines and dents from you cutting plate can damage the Gold Foil paper and give it a distressed look. Always put Wax Paper between your Expression Thinlits and card stock before cutting. Watch this video if you need more instructions.
5. Position your Christmas Star and Merry as desired. Adhere with Tombow Glue.
6. Admire your Merry Christmas Star Card.
