I {HEART} You Son

This is one of the cards we made at my Guy Cards Stamp Class.  I have three sons, two who are fathers and make cards for all of them plus my two son-in-laws for Father’s Day.  Using the Little Letters Thinlits you can put any word or name you want in place of the word son.  Everyone at class either cut out the word “dad” or a name instead of the word son.  The Guy Greetings stamp set is one of the few that comes in Wood Mount, Clear Mount, AND Photopolymer!

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Cut your Marina Mist card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.  Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
2.  Cut your Night of Navy background layer at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.  Attach to your card base.
3.  Cut your Marina Mist card front at 3-3/4″ x 5″.  This is the layer your cut your letters from.  Lay everything out on your Magnetic Platform with a bottom cutting plate.  We did use Post-it-Notes to hold the card from to the cutting plate, and also to hold the Parchment paper in place.  Now place your Thinlits in the position you want, using Post-it-Notes to hold them in place if you need to.  There is only one of each letter so if you need more than one of a letter you will have to position and cut more than one run through your Big Shot.  You can save the center parts of the letters if you want to glue them in.  Some liked the look without the letter center parts.
4.  Use the stamp of your choice to decorate around the cut out areas if desired.  I used the Guy Greetings hats stamp since one of my sons and his son both enjoy wearing hats.  There are a variety of Guy things in this stamp set to choose from.  When you are finished with the cutting out and decorating you can glue the card front to the card base.  Make sure and use only small amounts of glue especially on the super tiny parts between letters.
5. If you used the I {HEART} You Thinlit, punch a small heart from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack out of Cherry Cobbler card stock and attach with a Dimensional inside the Heart space.
6.  You now have a great guy card for whatever occasion you choose.

Happy Guy Card Making!
