I had a great time at the Stampin’ Up! Convention! The classes I attended were great! There were lots of Demonstrations of both things to make and new products. There were also displays of LOTS of cards and 3D projects. I took pictures of most of them.
I am most excited about My Digital Studio 2 which will be coming out on August 1st! My favorite new feature is coloring your digital stamps. (Those of you who have come to my classes know how much I love coloring the stamps!) You can also make your project any size which will make it a little bit easier to make my blog header and for my Facebook page. You can also change the color of the new embellishments. I will be trying out the 30-Day FREE Trial and doing a series of quick lessons on using MDS2. It is SO easy to use! I haven’t decided yet whether I will be doing the upgrade ($19.95) or getting MDS2+ with lots of new content. Decisions, decisions……..
There were also a lot of new products which were demonstrated. I am really excited for the new Paper Trimmer! You can have both your cutting and scoring blades on all the time! There is a 1/4″ grid on the larger cutting surface. You can line up where you want to cut more easily. You can cut card stock for regular size cards on the surface without extending the ruler arm. The part that holds the blade and flips up can be locked down for taking to classes with you. You can still cut 12″ x 12″ papers. There is also a storage compartment underneath that will hold extra blades, a bone folder, and a few other things. They are still working on the date we can start buying it.
There was a demonstration on making fabric and ribbon flowers. It is easier than I thought!
The new Illuminate ink pad and the gold and silver pens (From the Holiday Catalog) will be fun! I received the pens for FREE at Convention so you will be able to test them out at My Open House on Friday!
There was also a 20% discount on certain products for Convention attendees. This is in addition to our usual 20% discount! I ordered the Brights Collection Stampin’ Pads and the New Heat Tool. I am really excited!! They will be here on Wednesday!!!
