Happy Independence Day Card

Happy Independence Day to all those in the United States.  Be thankful for the country you live in.  Years ago a received a Flag card from a friend.  I decided to try and at least make a flag to go on this card.  It is a fairly simple and straightforward card to make.

If you do not live in the US, can you make a card with your flag on it?  If you email me a picture with the directions I will post it on my blog and you can be a guest stamper!

1.
Cut your Whisper White Flag Background  at 3″ x 4-1/4″.   Cut seven 1/4″ x 4-1/4″ stripes of Real Red card stock.  Place the first red stripe at the bottom of your Whisper White Flag Background.   Leave 1/4″ Whisper White showing, then place your next Real Red Stripe.  Continue placing the rest of your Real Red Stripes leaving 1/4″ Whisper White showing between each one.
2.  Cut a Night of Navy 1-3/8″ x 2″.  Cut your Whisper White Star out using the smallest Star Framelit and your Big Shot.  Attach your Star to the center of your Night of Navy.  Attach to the upper left corner of your flag with the bottom touching the top of the fourth stripe.
3.  Now take your flag and turn it over.  Trim off any pieces that hang over the edges.  This will give your flag nice crisp edges.
4.  Attach your flag to your card base:  5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″.
5.  Write a sentiment with a Real Red Marker, or stamp a sentiment.

Happy Celebration!
