Here is the first Christmas card of the year! I was experimenting with the NEW Filigree Frame Embossing Folder and wanted to see the raised part of the image better so I sponged the front of the embossing folder. Now I can see all those swirly lines! I used the Christmas Cheer stamp set to complete the card. SUPPLIES:
Stamps: Christmas Cheer w#136146 c#135149 French
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Real Red Marker
Always Artichoke Marker
Card Stock: Very Vanilla
Big Shot: Filigree Frame embossing folder #135818
Other: Sponge wedge
Tombow Glue or Fast Fuse Adhesive
INSTRUCTIONS:1. Cut your Very Vanilla card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. Watch this video about Basic Card Bases if you need more instruction.
2. Cut your card front at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Sponge the inside front of your embossing folder using your sponge wedge and Mossy Meadow ink to color the Filigree designs leaving the center of the folder uninked. Lay your card front on the back, uninked part of your embossing folder centering it as desired. Gently close and run through your Big Shot. Carefully open it and remove your inked, embossed card front.
3. Color your stamp using the Markers. I colored only the pine tree pieces Always Artichoke. The words and other designs are colored with the Real Red Marker. Remember to breathe on the inked stamp several times to moisten the ink, then stamp.
4. Attach your card front to your card.
5. Wahoo!! You have now made your FIRST Christmas Card too. How many more Christmas cards are you sending?
Happy Christmas Card Making!
