The September Paper Pumpkin Kit is all about Halloween and Treat Bags. Kiev and Alex (10 years old) made these Treat Bags using what is in the Kit. The only change was they stapled the bags together before putting on the tags. Have fun making your OWN versions!

I Love Paper Pumpkin Kits like this when I have a lot going on. I can quickly make beautiful cards in just a few minutes. I used the Baker’s Twine differently than shown in the directions as I am not very good at getting Twine to stay in place under labels. I only used what was in the Kit except for Memento Black ink on the envelope.
CARD 1-THINKING OF YOU INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Choose the card base that has white around the edges. 2. Stamp your sentiment on the small narrow Label in Blackberry Bliss ink. Attach two small Vellum Leaves at opposite corners on the back with Glue Dots. Attach Label to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. 3. Tie your Baker’s Twine in a bot close to the fold.
Your Card is finished
CARD 2-YOU MAKE ME SO HAPPY CARD INSTRUCTIONS:1. Choose the card base with white in the center. 2. Choose a large Label. Stamp your sentiment and optional smaller images in Blackberry Bliss ink. Tie a piece of Baker’s Twine around the Label with the bow over to one side. Attach three Vellum leaves of different sizes along the top back of the Label with Glue Dots. Attach Label to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Your Card is finished.
ENVELOPE: 1. Stamp a Flower in the bottom left corner in Blackberry Bliss ink. Stamp the flower center in Memento Black ink. The flower in the upper right corner shows the flower enlarged so you can see more detail.
You can get either a Prepaid Paper Pumpkin Subscription or a Monthly Paper Pumpkin Subscription and have some creative fun with all the cutting done for you. Each Kit includes all the supplies you need to complete the projects and usually has pieces left over to use on other projects. You get a Stamp Block with your first kit. You can choose to follow the instructions OR have fun making your own projects with the Kit supplies. I usually do one of each thing following the directions, then have fun with the rest – usually with my grandchildren.
The July Picnic Paradise Paper Pumpkin Kit is super cute and fun to make. I will admit that I was intimidated by all the pieces and the vague instructions. I watched the official video, but they went way too fast for me to figure out how to actually make the projects. I figured if my 7-year-old granddaughter could make it, so could I !! So here are some detailed instructions. It was easier than I thought! INSTRUCTIONS:
I did use SNAIL instead of the Kit Glue Dots. I also used my Blueberry Bushel ink pad and some paper snips. Basket
1. Get the Basket Parts: Basket Base, Basket Handle Sheet, Long Brim Sticker Sheet, Short Brim Sticker Sheet, and the bag of Brads. 2. Fold the score lines on the Basket Base. You can choose to have the brown side showing or the white side showing. I chose to have the brown side showing. My granddaughter chose the white side. 3. Punch out one Handle piece. Remove the punched holes with something small like a Paper Piercing Tool. I used the tip of my Paper Snips after bending the handle piece when using my fingers. 4.Put together half of your Basket. ~Now peel off one of the Long Brim Stickers.
~Put the brad through the hole of the Long Brim Sticker, then through one of the Handle Holes.
~Bend the Brad tabs flat.
~Straighten your Handle and trim the end even with the Long Brim Sticker.
~Fold the score lines on the Long Brim Sticker.
~Match up the Long Brim Sticker fold with one wide Basket Brim end.
~Lightly position the Long Brim Sticker between the score lines with the Basket Wide Brim.
~Make sure the top of the sticker lines up with the top of the Basket brim. Smooth down the Sticker.
~Now match the Basket Brim edges with the Sticker flaps, making sure the top is even.
~Repeat with the other Basket Brim side.
~Cover the side brim stickers with the seam in the middle with the Short Brim Sticker. 5. Repeat Step 4 using one more Long Brim Sticker, one more Short Brim Sticker, one more Brad, and the Handle piece already attached to the other side of your basket.
Wahoo!!! Your Basket is assembled!! 6. Choose a piece of the Gingham Tissue Paper making sure you only have one layer. Keep it folded in half and slide it under your Basket Handle. Press the center of the Gingham Tissue Paper to the center of the Basket bottom. Fold each Tissue Paper corner over the Basket corner next to it. Work with it until you like it. 7. Choose which Large Tag color you want. Stamp your sentiment and lines or other images on your tag. Tie the Tag to the Handle with the White Baker’s Twine from the Kit. 8. Fill with some goodies or treats to give away. Card 1. Choose a card base and fold the score line. Also, punch out a small square of the pale Gingham Vellum Square, a small white tag, and your fruit: 1 Apple, 2 Strawberries, 3 Blueberries. Also, get your Leaf Sticker Sheet. 2. Attach the Gingham Vellum Square to the card front. 3. Stamp the Stitch Lines on the card base around the Gingham Vellum. 4. Attach the Fruit on the Gingham Vellum. 5. Wrap 24″ of Baker’s Twine around the card front. Tie in a bow. I moved the Baker’s Twine “X” close to the bow. 6. Stamp your sentiment on the small White Tag. Add 3 Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and attach to your card front.
Your Card is finished!!
Complete the rest of your Baskets and Cards. Or use the supplies to make other cards and projects.

The June Paper Pumpkin Kit is fun! It also coordinates with the Broadway Bound Suite.
I made two cards. This first one I did almost as pictured in the instructions.
The second one I did a couple of different things. I did not feel like stamping the White Banner, so I embossed it with the Hexagon Dynamic Embossing Folder and my Big Shot. After I put the card together I decided it needed something else so I used my Lovely Lipstick Marker to draw some lines around the embossed hexagons. I only put on one balloon.
I gave my 7 year old granddaughter a 3 month prepaid Paper Pumpkin subscription for her birthday in May. She received her first Kit on Monday. She is SO EXCITED to get her own mail AND it has crafting supplies! She is happiest when she does some coloring or crafting every day. I am not kidding. Here is her version of the card. She even decorated the card. She is giving it to a friend for her birthday soon.
April’s Paper Pumpkin was pretty fun to make. It has 5 different card styles and a box to put them in. You can also cut these small 3″ x 6″ card bases in half and use on regular size card bases. You could also attach one of the envelopes to a regular card base with one of the small cards inside or even just a 3″ x 3″ piece of stamped cardstock inside. There are lots of possibilities with this month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit.
I used the Kit supplies plus Paper Snips and my own glue dots and SNAIL.
CARD 1-ISLAND INDIGO STRIPED CARD BASE Kit pieces: Striped Island Indigo card base
Large White Circle die cut
Island Indigo Anchor die cut
White Banner die cut Make the Card:
~Twine was placed below the Large White circle in the sample on the instructions. I did not do this.
~Attach the Anchor to the Large White Circle with Glue Dots. Attach to card base.
~Stamp “Thanks” and two hearts on the White Banner. Attach the Banner over the Anchor.
CARD 2-WAVES AND HEARTS CARD BASE Kit Pieces: Waves and Hearts card base.
Calypso Coral Anchor
Twine Make the Card:
~Thread Twine through Anchor. Tie a knot.
~Attach Anchor to card base
~Stamp sentiment on bottom right corner of card base.
CARD 3-WAVY STRIPED CARD BASE Kit Pieces: Wavy Striped card base
Rectangle die cut
Banner die cut Make the Card:
~Stamp a Lighthouse on the Rectangle die cut. Attach to card base.
~Stamp a sentiment on the Banner. Attach to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
CARD 4-GOLD RAYS CARD BASE Kit Pieces: Calypso Coral Lighthouse
Banner Make the Card:
~Attach the Lighthouse to the card base.
~Stamp a sentiment on the Banner. Attach with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
CARD 5-ISLAND INDIGO PRINT CARD BASE Kit Pieces: Island Indigo Print card base
Lifesaver die cut
Banner die cut
Twine Make the Card:
~Put Glue Dots on the back of the Lifesaver behind the white sections. Attach your Twine so it loops out beyond the Lifesaver die cut. Try to make them even. Put Stampin’ Dimensionals over teh Glue Dots and Twine. Attach to card base.
~Stamp a sentiment on your Banner die cut. Attach to Life Saver with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
CARD BOX Box: ~Crease all score lines with your Bone Folder. Fold into shape so you will know how it folds and everything attaches.
~Peel Adhesive backing off one end. Fold end up. Fold small tabs in over end. Carefully fold Adhesive side down, making sure corner edges meet before folding down the adhesive part.
~Repeat with the other end. Box Cover:
~Fold Box Cover and crease all folds with your Bone Folder.
~Get the Island Indigo Anchor and punch out the hole at the top.
~Stamp the Small White Circle die cut with a decoration-such as the sailboat-and a small sentiment.
~Tie the twine around the Box Cover parallel to the open edges leaving enough Twine to tie a bow. Thread the Anchor and Small Circle die cuts through one side of the Twine. Tie Twine into a bow. I attached the Anchor with some Glue Dots.
FINISHING ~Match each card with an envelope and stack the five cards. There are three envelope colors to choose from. Insert them into the box.
~Slide the Box Cover over the box.
~You can now give this as a gift or save to use the cards and attach them to gifts or just give to someone needing to feel you care for them.
I LOVED the March 5th Anniversary Paper Pumpkin Kit! I will admit it did take me a bit to figue out where all the parts went. The die cuts were nicely labeled, but the directions did not tell me where they all went. Anyway, my creative juices got going and I had fun making these cards and decorative envelopes. I really liked the HUGE amount of Stampin’ Dimensionals that came with the Kit. I can use lots and still have plenty to finish all the cards!
I used the supplies that came in the kit along with scissors, a ruler, and SNAIL adhesive. There is a ruler printed on the instructions, but I usually forget about it……
NOTES: Things I figured out AFTER making my cards. 1. The line divides what goes on each card set. The larger top section is for the Pink card front on the Crumb Cake card base AND the Envelope with the swirls. 2. The die cuts on the smaller lower section are all used on the Crumb Cake Rose Print card front and Fresh Fig card base AND the Rose Envelope. 3. Did your ribbon come out wrinkled? Just put SNAIL on the back to attach it and you won’t see any wrinkles. I did figure this out while I was making the cards. I used SNAIL to attach all the ribbon. I was really not in the mood to iron all the ribbon as I was making these in the evening while watching TV with my DH and son. 4. Each month Stampin’ Up! posts a short video on how to assemble the kit on pumpkinhowto.com. I always forget to watch it before I make the cards. Although the video does move pretty quickly, you get the general idea of how to make the cards more than from the printed instructions…. in my opinion.
HERE IS THIS MONTH’S PAPER PUMPKIN VIDEO:
PINK CARD FRONT WITH CRUMB CAKE CARD BASE 1. Punch out the die cuts from the larger top half:
~Leaf A and Leaf B
~Pink and gold flowers
~Also the filigree Tag from the Tag sheet 2. Stamp the flourish in Early Espresso ink in each corner. 3. Cut two pieces of ribbon at 3-1/4″. Hold together and trim the ends at an angle. Lay on card front to determine position. Place SNAIL on the back of the ribbon and attach to card front. This will take the wrinkels out. 4. Attach all the pieces:
I just used Stampin’ Dimensionals on all the die cuts. You can use Glue Dots where one die cut lays on top of another die cut if you want.
~Stamp the desired sentiment on the filigree Tag. Attach to your Pink Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the ribbon.
~Attach Leaf A towards the bottom of the Tag as shown.
~Next add the Gold Flower, then the Pink Flower on top.
~Attach the small Leaf B behind the Pink Flower. (I did not do this and used this leaf on the other card because I had not figured things out yet.)
~Attach the Pink Card Front to the Crumb Cake card base with Dimensionals.
SWIRLS ENVELOPE 1. Get the Envelope with the Swirls pring. 2. Punch out the large flower die cut. Attach to the Swirls Envelope with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Yes, use lots around the edges with a few in the center. I should have taken a picture, but didn’t think about it. 3. Cut Ribbon at 3-1/2″ and trim ends as desired. Attach to envelope with SNAIL. 4. Punch out the Label B from the top half. Stamp Happy Birthday. Put Dimensionals on the back. Attach over Ribbon. 5. Punch out the holes in the bake of the envelope: one will almost halfway down the back, the other on the envelope flap.
~Punch out the Green circles and the holes. Put a brad through the Circle Hole and put the brad tabs through the envelope hole. Hold the brad with your fingernails underneath the brad top, then spread the brad tabs. Repeat with second brad and Geen Circle. Tie the Thread around the brad on the envelope. Trim end. Wrap thread around both brads a few times. Cut end when you like the look. There is no measurement given in the directions.
ROSE PRINT CARD FRONT WITH FRESH FIG CARD BASE: 1. Get the Crumb Cake Rose Print card front. 2. Attach the pink strip about 1/2″ from the card front bottom edge. Attach the yellow strp next to the pink strip. Trim edges. 3, Stamp the sentiment on the Large Label B. Punch out the holes. Tie a large Baker’s Twine bow in each hole. (I am not good with the rumpled Baker’s Twine look. You can do that if you want as per the instructions that came with the Kit.) Put 3-4 Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back. 4. Now get Leaf A and Leaf B from the bottom half. (Note: I used the small Leaf B from the top half on my card so yours will look different.) I put Dimensionals on the back of them. I thin attached them to the Dimensionals on the back of the Large Label B. I then attached them to the card front. 5. Attach the completed card front to the Fresh Fig card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
ROSE ENVELOPE: 1. Get the Rose Envelope. 2. Cut your Ribbon about 3″. Attach to envelope with SNAIL. 3. Punch out the Lower Label B. Stamp with Hello. Attach Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back. Attach over Ribbon. 4. Punch out the holes in the bake of the envelope: one will almost halfway down the back, the other on the envelope flap.
~Punch out the Fresh Fig circles and the holes.
Wahoo you have finished one set of cards!! You can finish the rest following the instructions above, or mix up the die cuts to get different looks. You could even use your own cardstock to put the die cuts on to make stamdard size cards. Have LOTS OF FUN with this Kit!

For the Alternate cards I also used Sweet & Sassy Framelits (with my Big Shot), and Flirty Flamingo cardstock. All other items used were included in the Kit.
ORIGINAL CARDS INSIDE LEFT CARD INSIDE RIGHT CARD

What is included in the Kits?
~All the supplies to make the projects in the kit. December’s Kit included a 1″ ink pad, Photopolymer stamps, Glue Dots, card bases, envelopes,Baker’s Twine, cardstock and die cuts to make the eight cards – 4 each of 2 designs.
~Your first Kit will include a stamp block.
~Each month’s Kit always includes one or two 1″ ink pads and stamps.
~Most kits’ projects are cards.
~Some past kits have included: a mini scrapbook/journal, home decor wreath, gift bags, and treat bags.
What else will I need to make the projects?
~Basic Tools: Bone Folder, scissors
~I also use the regular Stampin’ Up! Glue Dots and Fast Fuse or SNAIL adhesives.
~The Kit Glue Dots come as little circles covered with white or patterned paper on a clear sheet. I am not very coordinated in using them. My grandchildren do fine with them.
What ages can use Paper Pumpkin Kits?
~I have made these Kits with my grandchildren as young as 3 years old. Plan on supervising and helping the younger children. I usually bring a Kit with when I visit my daughter and her family in New Hampshire. I did forget one time….. My 8 year old grandson asked what craft I brough for them to make. He was disappointed I did not bring one. 🙁
My Daughter-in-law came over Friday and we worked on our August Paper Pumpkin Kits together. She finished hers while over here. I finished mine later. I helped my grandson make a Wooden Crate using the Big Shot-he did most of the work himself. My 2-1/2 year-old granddaughter made a card using some of the leftover Paper Pumpkin Pieces.
Here are the cards. The only additional thing I used was regular Glue Dots from Stampin’ Up! I am just not coordinated with the ones that come in the Kit. My older grandchildren (age 5+) find them easy to use.
Here are the two cards made as shown:
Here are the two stepped up cards. I used the Lovely Inside & Out stamp set Wood Mount #144008, Clear Mount #144011.
Here are the Tags:
Here are two extra Blank Tags:
Here is the whole thing wrapped up in the included Gift Box:
I had lots of extra fern leaves lett.

Here is what I made with the last Kit. I did (mostly) follow the directions.

This is the last Paper Pumpkin card for the February 2016 Kit. This card uses the same flower stamps as the last one. I repositioned them on the block and used Lost Lagoon ink. The gold outlined flower, the green leaf, and the Pool Party flower are self-adhesive die cuts from the Kit. There are several cards in each design and plenty of die cuts to use. There is also a cute envelope for each card.
Here is the 2nd card I made from the February 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit. The Kit does come with some basic instructions which you can follow if you want to. I partially followed the instructions for this card. I added some stamping using two of the Flower Stamps that came in the Kit. I also used Elegant Eggplant ink instead of the Blackberry Bliss ink that came with the Kit. The outlined flower and leaves and the solid Pool Party flower are self-adhesive die cuts included with the kit.
Each month as a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber, both Month-to-Month AND Prepaid Subscriber, you will receive and email with links to:
The Project Video for the month (about 3 minutes long demonstrating all three cards). This is nice to watch if you need some visual basic instructions.
The Stampin’ Up! Blog Post which shows the full Stamp Set included, all the cards made up, and the cute envelopes, plus a photo of each card.
There is also a link to get a Refill Kit. What is the difference between an extra Kit and a Refill Kit?
~The Kit comes with everything your original kit came with including the stamps and the 1″ ink pad called a Stampin’ Spot.
~The Refill Kit does not include the stamps or the Stampin’ Spot ink pad. It does include everything else needed to make the projects.
GET YOUR OWN MONTH-TO-MONTH SUBSCRIPTION HERE. You will receive a Kit every month. You can suspend your subscription if you need to. You can also cancel any time. I also added some Dimensionals on the Banner. This card took about 2 minutes to make. Glue Dots are included with the Kit, but I was in the mood to use Stampin’ Dimensionals.

BASIC SUPPLIES: March 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit Stamps: Big Day Wood #139109, Clear #139112 Ink: Black included in the Kit
Pool Party Marker Other: Dimensionals (some are included in the Kit)
STRIPED CARD INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Stamp the desired sentiment above the punched YOU. 2. Using 40″ of embroidery thread from the Kit, backstitch the letters as directed in the Kit instructions. This goes very quickly. You will need 40″ of thread to complete all three letters and have some left to tie a knot at the end. Place Dimensionals on the back of your embroidered piece. 3. Place the stamped and embroidered card stock where desired on one of the card fronts. 4. Add an epoxy sticker from the Kit. You have now finished the Kit instructions. But I thought it needed something more. So on to step 5. 5. Stamp the Big Day stamp with Crushed Curry ink on Whisper White card stock. Cut around the edges with scissors or your Paper Trimmer. I also edged this piece with a Crushed Curry Marker. Color in the Cake with your Pool Party Marker. Attach with Dimensionals.
1. Cut your Daffodil Delight card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Designer Series Paper at 4″ x 5-1/4″. and attach. You can also use half a card from the Paper Pumpkin Kit for this piece. 3. Stamp your “YOU” piece with the desired sentiment in Black ink. 4. Embroider the YOU using a Back stitch as explained in the Kit directions. Edge the card stock with a Crushed Curry Marker. Hold onto a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock and cut around the edges with about 1/8″ border around your embroidered piece. Attach these pieces together with Dimensionals. Put Dimensionals on the back layer. 5. Stamp your Cake stamp in Crushed Curry. Cut out around the edges. Color in the Cake word with your Crushed Curry Marker. Cut a Daffodil Delight mat as above with about 1/8″ border. Attach the two pieces with Dimensionals and put Dimensionals on the back layer. 6. Cut 3 Daffodil Delight Stars with the Itty Bitty Accents Star Punch. Attach to the back of the Star Shaped Epoxy Stickers. Attach one to the center of the “O” with a Dimensional. 7. Lay out all the pieces in the desired positions. Remove Dimensional Backings and attach. Attach the Stars with Tombow Glue or Glue Dots. 8. Cover the CAKE letters with Crystal Effects, if desired, and set aside to dry for a few hours.
9. Now you have another way to use your March Paper Pumpkin Kit.
