Make bookmarks for the readers in your life. Choose Thick cardstock for the base and a couple of other papers to decorate your bookmark or to stamp on. Get creative and have fun creating multiple bookmarks. I have always been an advocate of reading and getting my children, and now grandchildren, to read a lot. I forgot to take pictures of the bookmarks before I gave them awayl
This Video is almost 13 minutes long.
SUPPLIES: Stamps:Brushwork Alphabet Photopolymer #141772 Ink: to match your paper or the reader’s favorite color Cardstock: Thick Whisper White OR Thick Very Vanilla
Other papers for layers as desired. I used the retired Foil Frenzy because my grandson loves Lemon Lime Twist and shiny foil. Punch:Detailed Trio #146320 Ribbon: Choose ribbon to coordinate with your papers and ink Adhesive: Tombow Glue
MEASUREMENTS & TIPS: 1. Cut your layers:
~Bookmark base: Thick Whisper White or Thick Very Vanilla cardstock at 2″ x 5-1/2″.
~Designer Series Paper layer: 1-3/4″ x 4″
~Stamped layer: 1-1/2″ x 3-3/4″.
You can adapt these measurements to the width and length you want. If you want to use the Scallop Tag Topper Punch #133324 to make a decorative Tag Topper. Your Bookmark with need to be a tinge smaller than 2″ wide. 2. When using the corner rounder on the Detailed Trio Punch, make sure you place the cardstock edges against the raised part of the punch and shove the cardstock back as far as you can. It is easy, you just have to remember to shove the cardstock all the way back to get a great cut. Sometimes you can punch a second time to correct it, sometimes a second punch will not help. 3. Get creative! You can use the layers like shown here or decide what layers you want. You do not need to stamp a name. You can stamp an image. You can write instead of stamping a name. You can add die cuts to the top. Let the kids make their own bookmarks. I am sure each one will come out different! This may even encourage the to read more! Or they will just have fun making lots of bookmarks for personal use and to give to family and friends.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Powder Pink card base 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your DSP at 2″ x 5-1/4″. Attach about 1/8″ from card base fold. 3. Butterfly: Stamp on Whisper White cardstock.

~Apply 3 Glue Dots to the back of the body and attach to your card front. 4. Stamp the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink in the lower right corner.
Your card is finished.

I received this Sunshine & Rainbows Bundle from the UPS man Monday and made this Rainbow, Sun, and Clouds card last night. Too bad we don’t have Silver ink to put a Silver lining on the clouds. Although here in Arizona we like rain and have not received nearly enough this past year.
SUPPLIES: *=Part of the Bundle *Bundle #145983: *Sunshine & Rainbows Photopolymer stamps + *Rainbow Builder Framelits Stamps: *Sunshine & Rainbows Photopolymer #145821 Inks: Daffodil Delight

Stamp your Rainbow in the center of your card. (Note: I stamped mine on a 4-1/4″ card front and cut it down. Largest Rainbow Part at the Top, working your way down to the smaller parts.
~1. Larger=Elegant Eggplant ink
~2. Emerald Envy ink
~3. Dapper Denim ink
~4. Real Red ink
~5. Pumpkin Pie ink

~Sun-Daffodil Delight ink 3. Big Shot Clouds. Cut three clouds from 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ wide Whisper White cardstock. I cut two of the extra puffy clouds and one of the kind of flat clouds. I also cut the second extra puffy cloud at an angle so it would be different than the top one.
~Top Clouds that touch the Rainbow: Cut from a 3-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Whisper White cardstock with the puffy cloud edgelit at the top of the cardstock.
~Middle Clouds: 2=7/8″ x 5-1/2″ Whisper White cardstock. Cut the puffy cloud edgelit at an angle. I turned this one over and sponged on the ‘back’ so the clouds would not be exactly the same.
~Lower/Bottom Clouds: Use the kind of flat clouds Edgelit. 1-1/2″ x 5-1/2 Whisper White cardstock.
~Lay out the clouds in the position you want them. Sponge the tops with Smoky Slate ink.
~Attach the Top Clouds with SNAIL. Trim the edges now if needed.

We made this fun Magical Day Castle Card at Stamp Class this month. It was a favorite with everyone. It is easy, but takes some time to put together. Thank goodness for matching Thinlits to cut things out!
~Sahara Sand card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
~Sahara Sand card front at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.
~Old Olive grass at 1/2″ x 5-1/2″ 2. Big Shot:
~Stamp your sentiment in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock. Cut your sentiment out with the coordinating Framelit.
~Cut out the shapes from Whisper White cardstock and a contrasting color cardstock (place them on top of each other and cut at the same time) for the Dragon, Knight, Mermaid, and flame. That’s right, do not stamp them yet. 3.Stamp & Die Cut Technique-Watch the Video:
~Place your White die cuts in the shapes of the contrasting color cardstock shapes. The contrasting color cardstock makes it easier to see exactly where you need to stamp.
~Get out your Stamp-a-ma-jig. Stamp an image in each corner using the T-Handle and the imaging sheet. Make sure and use Memento ink or Classic ink. Archival or permanent ink will ruin your Imaging Sheet.
~Get out the stamp you want and ink it with Memento ink. Line up the imaging sheet stamp with the cardstock shape. Remove imaging sheet and stamp. Repeat with the other die cuts. 4. You can either leave the die cuts in the contrasting cardstock or remove them for coloring. Put a sheet or two of paper underneath to protect your work surface from bleeding colors. Color with Blends Markers. Shade as desired by coloring some of the Dark Marker along one side, then color with the light Marker over the whole area until no line shows. Dragon
-Chest & neck-Old Olive Light
-Chest scales-Old Olive Dark
~Head-two coats of Old Olive Light (watch out and don’t color the eye like I did)
-Leg, hands, wing-Night of Navy Light
~Scales on back, tail, leg-Night of Navy Dark Knight
~Armor, Helmet, Sword
-Use Smoky Slate Dark to color along the left side of the armor parts.
-Now color the armor parts with Smoky Slate Light swirling the Marker over the Dark part until it is blended in.
–Use Old Olive and Night of Navy Markers.
-Use Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Markers Flame: Use Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Markers Princess/Mermaid
~Cut off the tail where it starts to curve up.
~Hair-I colored alternate strands with the Daffodil Delight Dark, then blended and finished coloring with the Daffodil Delight Light.
~I added the top and sleeves to her ‘dress’ with Rich Razzleberry Light.
~Pink Pirouette was used for the rest of the ‘dress’.
The coloring is done! 5. Brick Wall
~Get your Brick Wall embossing folder. Find the side where the brick dividers are raised (poke up). Rub your Crumb Cake ink pad over the top of all those lines that poke up. Let the ink pad also lightly cover parts of the ‘bricks’ so they will look more realistic and distressed.
~Put your Sahara Sand card front on the uninked side of the embossing folder and line it up how you want it. Close the folder, holding the paper in place. Now run through your Big Shot. Open up and see your distressed bricks! 6. Putting it all together.
~Glue your sentiment to Basic Black cardstock and cut out a mat for it.
~Look at your Brick card front and decide which will be the top and bottom.
~Glue your Old Olive grass to the bottom.
~Lay your Princess on the Black Label. Cut off the Princess and the window where desired. Now glue on your Princess since the pesky tail is gone.

I am now designing the Challenge and then making the card. I chose my sentiment from the Lots of Love rubber stamp set. Choose a sentiment or image stamp that is about 1-1/2″ to fit in the Stitched Shapes square.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Rich Razzleberry card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your patterned DSP at 2-1/4″ x 4-1/4″. Attach to the left side of your card base. 3. Stamp Thinking of You in Old Olive ink on Whisper White cardstock. Cut out with the coordinating Stitched Shapes Square. Also cut out a larger Old Olive Scallop Square with a Layering Square Framelit. Layer the two squares together with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Attach to your card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
VARIATION IDEAS: 1. Step it up a bit:
~Cut a Rich Razzleberry card front at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Run though your Big Shot with an Embossing Folder. Attach this to your card base, then make the card as instructed. 2. Use two patterned paper patterns for the card front: one with a large pattern, one that has a subtle pattern. Most Stampin’ Up! DSP has a large pattern on one side of the paper and a more subtle one on the back. So cut a piece of 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ DSP where you like the front and back together. Cut a 2-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece. Attach to your card base. Then flip the rest of the DSP over to the other side and attach it to your card base. 3. You can also substitute punches for the squares. Adapt the Sketch using the patterned paper you have. If it is Stampin’ Up! paper, look on the back of the package to see the coordinating colors. This makes your color coordination easy.

We tested out my NEW Stamparatus for both these cards. You can order yours in June.
The Party Pandas looked best with 2-3 layers of ink which was super easy to do with the Stamparatus. I also used the Color Theory Designer Series Paper for the Bamboo stalks and the leaves are from the Everyday Jars Framelits.
The Lovely Wishes card also used the Stamparatus. We placed the two flower and leaf stamps on one side, then stamped, then rotated the card front and stamped again. We also lined up the Happy Wishes stamps in the Stamparatus and stamped it. We again colored with Blends Markers.
