Paintbrushes Card

I wanted to make a relatively simple card using the “Paintbrushes in a pot” stamp from the Crafting Forever stamp set. I hand drew the lines on the card front with markers.

Stampin’ Dimensionals

*1. Cut your Thick Whisper White card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. SCORE and fold at 4-1/4″.

*2. Use your Highland Heather Marker to draw diagonal lines across your card front in one direction. The lines are drawn freehand and are spaced about 1″ apart. NOTE: My Marker needs to be reinked so your lines may be darker. I will be using this technique to reink my Marker.

*3. Now use your Gorgeous Grape Marker to draw diagonal lines in the other direction across your card front.

*4. Stamp your Paintbrushes on Whisper White cardstock with Memento Black ink.

*5. Color your stamped image with Markers.
~Gorgeous Grape: shaded parts on pot.
~Highland Heather: the main part of the pot
~Smoky Slate: metal parts of brushes and cutting blade
~Use a variety of colors to color paint on the brush tips.
~Use the brown markers to color the rest of the brushes.
~Use a variety of colors to color the paint brush handles.

*6. Get your Rectangle Stitched Framelits and choose two Framelits. The larger one will be used to cut out your Paintbrushes image AND for the outside of your Gorgeous Grape Frame. The smaller Framelit will determine how wide your Frame is.
~Large Framelit only: cut out your stamped image
~Both Framelits: Cut out your Gorgeous Grape Frame. Line up the Framelits so the space between them is even. Cut out. Glue onto your stamped image.
~Attach your Framed Image to your card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Your Card is finished.
