Stamp Perfect Images

Would you like to Stamp Perfect Images Every Time?  This simple technique works with all types of stamps and all kinds of ink pads.

This Video is almost 7 minutes long.

SUPPLIES:

Choose your stamp(s):  Rubber: Wood Mount, Clear-Mount, or Cling; or  Photopolymer
Choose your ink pad(s)  Foam or felt
Cardstock or paper
Stampin’ Pierce Mat #126199 for use with Photopolymer Stamps

TIPS:

1.  Wood Mount stamps are ready to use as they are already on a block.  Clear and Cling Mount Rubber stamps need to be put on a block so you can use them.  If you want them perfectly lined up on your stamp block lay them on grid paper, then put the block on them.

2.  Ink up your stamps correctly to stamp perfect images every time.
~Foam ink pads:  Lightly pat the stamp on the ink pad.  You do not want any ink except on the part you want to stamp on your cardstock.
~Felt ink pads:  Gently rub your stamp in circles over the ink pad OR rub the ink pad in circles over your stamp.  Keep the ink pad flat so the ink only goes on the part of the stamp you want.

3.  Stamp straight down, count to 5, then pull the stamp straight up.  This is the MOST important way to stamp perfect images every time!  Do NOT tilt or roll your stamp block as your image will appear darker in spots or if there is ink on the stamp around the edges you will get a ring-around-the-rubber stamped image.

Check out videos on how to use the New Style Ink Pads and the older Style Ink Pads.

Here is the finished card.

2. Pocket Card Base.Front Pocket Card BaseBack Pocket Card Base~Choose your Pocket Card Base: Light Green or Dark Green.  You complete the same steps for both the Light Pocket Card Base and the Dark Pocket Card Base.
~Place two Gold Corner stickers in the lower corners of the Post section of the card base.  It was helpful to use the Take Your Pick Tool.  Just place one side of the sticker on the flat part of the Take Your Pick Tool and then line up the two flat edges with the raised lines in the lower corner.  Repeat with a second Gold Corner sticker.
~Punch out the long Pocket Hole and the two bow holes.
~Choose a sentiment sticker and place it under the Pocket Hole against the raised line.  I again used the Take your Pick Tool to help me get it centered.
~Cut 12″ of Baker’s Twine.  Thread through the two Bow Holes.  Tie a bow like you would your shoelaces.
~Peel off the two strips of adhesive backing on the Flap.  Line up the two rounded parts on the sides.  Use your Bone Folder to press the adhesive down.  My edges were just a little crooked.  You need the rounded parts to match up completely on both sides so you can fold the card back properly.
~Now fold the card back closed.  Crease with your Bone Folder.
3.  Pocket Card Insert.
~Choose the Pocket Card Insert you want.  Either one will work with either Pocket Card Base.
~Punch out the small rectangle Postage Stamp Image.
~Attach the Postage Stamp Image to the upper part of your Insert with a small Paper Clip.
~Write something on the White part of the Insert.  You can write on the lower part of the front and the whole back of the Insert.
~Insert into the Pocket Card Base in the Pocket Hole.
Your Card is finished.

Humming Along

This card uses the NEW Humming Along stamp set and is a #SimpleStamping Card.  It uses stamps, ink, and coloring.  You can use your favorite coloring products – I used Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Just make sure you choose Memento Tuxedo Black ink instead of StayzOn Jet Black.  StayzOn ink smears when used with Blends.
Hummingbird and flower CardThis Stamp set is in the NEW Occasions Catalog which we can buy from on January 3, 2019.

~Stamp with Memento ink.
3. Color:
Make sure and lay some grid or scratch paper under your cardstock when using Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Also, make sure the card is open and laying flat so you don’t make marks on the inside of your card.
~Dark Daffodil-Yellow Pollen flower part
~Old Olive-leaves and stems.  Make sure and color the stem inside the flower before coloring the flower.
Flower Petals.  Color one petal at a time for best blending results.
~Dark Rich Razzleberry:  Use the Fine Tip to go over the lines coming from the center of the flower and to draw small circular lines along the flower petal outside edges.
~Light Rich Razzleberry:  Color the whole petal, blending the dark circular lines until you can’t see a line and the color just goes for darker to lighter.
Repeat with each petal.
Humming Bird.  I think they are really brownish.  But I was not in the mood for browns.  Choose the colors you want.  I will tell you what I used.
~Beak: Dark Pumpkin Pie-Thin Tip
~Heat & Body: Dark Flirty Flamingo
~Feathers-Wings and Back: Light Lovely Lipstick and Light Flirty Flamingo.  Color along the lines at one edge with the Lovely Lipstick and blend with the Flirty Flamingo.
