This Cardinal Thinking of You Card uses the Winterly Tree Tops Stamp set and a Spotlight on Nature Circle Die. Coloring is done with Stampin’ Blends.

Cardinal Thinking of You Card

SUPPLIES:

Stamps: Winterly Tree Tops Stamps (also part of a Die Bundle and a Suite)
Ink Pad: Pebbled Path ink pad
Stampin’ Blends: Real Red Blends
Basic Black Blends
Gray Granite Blends
Cardstock: Very Vanilla cardstock
Real Red Cardstock
Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine: Spotlight on Nature Dies (also part of a Bundle)
Twine: Natural Tones Linen Thread
Adhesives: Stampin’ Dimensionals
Glue Dots
Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

INSTRUCTIONS:

1-Cut Your Papers:
~Real Red Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
~Very Vanilla Card Insert: 4″ x 5-1/4″

2-Circle Focal Point:
~Lay your Stamps inside one of the Circle Dies that will fit your Image and Words. I chose one of the largest.
~Use that Die to cut your Very Vanilla cardstock.
~Stamp your image and Words with Pebbled Path ink. You can use a large block to stamp both at the same time if you want.

3-Color with Stampin’ Blends:
~Basic Black Light: Rectangle around beak. Don’t cover up the eyes.
~Beak: Dark Real Red
~Bird: Light Real Red
~Wings and Tail: Dark Real Red. Just color the shaded part of the wings.
~Berries: Light Real Red with Dark Real Red on the small circle on each Berry.
~Branch: Light Granite Gray

4-Bow:
~Cut Four 6″ pieces of the Linen Thread.
~Line them up together and tie your Bow.
~Trim the ends. These will be short.
~Attach to the end of your Branch with a couple of Glue Dots as shown.

5-Finish Your Card:
~Put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of your Circle and attach to your Card Front.
~Glue your Card Insert inside your Card.

Your Cardinal Thinking of You Card is finished.
