Make bookmarks for the readers in your life. Choose Thick cardstock for the base and a couple of other papers to decorate your bookmark or to stamp on. Get creative and have fun creating multiple bookmarks. I have always been an advocate of reading and getting my children, and now grandchildren, to read a lot. I forgot to take pictures of the bookmarks before I gave them awayl
This Video is almost 13 minutes long.
SUPPLIES:
Stamps: Brushwork Alphabet Photopolymer #141772
Ink: to match your paper or the reader’s favorite color
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White OR Thick Very Vanilla
Other papers for layers as desired. I used the retired Foil Frenzy because my grandson loves Lemon Lime Twist and shiny foil.
Punch: Detailed Trio #146320
Ribbon: Choose ribbon to coordinate with your papers and ink
Adhesive: Tombow Glue
MEASUREMENTS & TIPS:
1. Cut your layers:
~Bookmark base: Thick Whisper White or Thick Very Vanilla cardstock at 2″ x 5-1/2″.
~Designer Series Paper layer: 1-3/4″ x 4″
~Stamped layer: 1-1/2″ x 3-3/4″.
You can adapt these measurements to the width and length you want. If you want to use the Scallop Tag Topper Punch #133324 to make a decorative Tag Topper. Your Bookmark with need to be a tinge smaller than 2″ wide.
2. When using the corner rounder on the Detailed Trio Punch, make sure you place the cardstock edges against the raised part of the punch and shove the cardstock back as far as you can. It is easy, you just have to remember to shove the cardstock all the way back to get a great cut. Sometimes you can punch a second time to correct it, sometimes a second punch will not help.
3. Get creative! You can use the layers like shown here or decide what layers you want. You do not need to stamp a name. You can stamp an image. You can write instead of stamping a name. You can add die cuts to the top. Let the kids make their own bookmarks. I am sure each one will come out different! This may even encourage the to read more! Or they will just have fun making lots of bookmarks for personal use and to give to family and friends.
