What are the Basic Stamping Supplies I use every day? I have listed the Stamping Supplies for Beginning and Advanced Crafters.
BASIC TOOLS for Everyone:
Here are some basic tools every Stamper needs:
~Catalogs: Use the catalog for project itdeas.
~A Paper Trimmer for straight cutting and scoring lines.
~Bone Folder for making crisp folds.
~Scissors or Paper Snips for hand cutting around images or other needed cutting.
~Acrylic Stamp Blocks. You will need these to use your stamps. Each stamp set suggests the Stamp Block sizes needed. I rarely use the A and B blocks.
~Stampin’ Pierce Mat. You will need this to get a great stamped image with your Clear Photopolymer stamps.
~Stamp Cleaning. I prefer the Simply Shammy over the Stampin’ Scrub as the Stampin’ Scrub can stain your stamps.
~Adhesives: If I had to choose just two I would choose Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
~Silicone Craft Sheet: Use this to protect your craft table from adhesives. If some gets on the Silicone Craft Sheet you can just roll it off with your fingers. It is not fun to try cleaning adhesives off your craft table.
~Grid Paper to protect your crafting table. There is Grid Paper (11″ x 17″), Floral Grid Paper (11″ x 17″), and Small Grid Paper (about 7-1/2″ square to fit in the Stamparatus and fits nicely over your Stampin’ Pierce Mat)
BEGINNER STAMPERS:
You will want the Basics of Stamps, Inks, and Papers. #SIP #SimpleStamping
Start with a Kit. Each Kit will tell you what else you need to complete the items in the Kit. Paper Pumpkin Kits include all the supplies you need. Use your Basic Tools.
Stamps, Inks, Papers:
~Start by choosing a Stamp Set you like.
~Designer Series Paper: (Optional) Choose a pattern that will look good with your stamp set.
~Ink Pads or Markers? Choose a set of Markers that coordinates with your Designer Series Paper. You can color directly on your stamps and stamp.
~Cardstock: Get 1-2 packs of Assorted Cardstock in the Color Collection that coordinates with your Designer Series Paper. As you use up one of the colors get a single package of that color.
~When I was starting out and ran out of a cardstock color I would get the single color package of that cardstock. I always get the ink pad and ink refill in that color.
Memories & More Card Packs. These include Cards in different sizes and accessories to use in your Scrap booking and card making. You can use these in place of Designer Series Paper.
You can keep your Basic Stamping Supplies simple if you want OR you can become addicted like me. Enjoy either way!
