Happy Wedding Card in Red and Silver

A friend of mine was married earlier this month so I used the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit to make her a Wedding card.
Tiffany's Bloomin' Heart Wedding CardSUPPLIES:
Stamps:  Cottage Greetings  Wood #138940, Clear #139962
Ink:  Real Red
Card Stock:  Cherry Cobbler
Whisper White
Silver Glimmer Paper
Red Glimmer Paper
Big Shot:  Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits  #140621
Sweet & Sassy Framelits #141707
Punch:  Decorative Label  #120907
Adhesives:  Tombow Glue
Stampin’ Dimensionals

1.  Cut your Cherry Cobbler card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.  Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
2.  Cut your Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit from Silver Glimmer Paper.  It will cut best if you put the Thinlit on the White side of the Glimmer Paper.  You can also cut five small hearts using the Sweet & Sassy Heart Framelits.  (NOTE: I used a retired punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch pack.)  Glue the Hearts onto your card front.
3.  Stamp your sentiment on Whisper White card stock.  Punch out with the Decorative Label Punch.  Sponge around the edges if desired.  Attach to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Add a Real Red Enamel Shapes Heart if desired.
4.  If desired, add a 4″ x 5-1/4″ insert in the center of the card to write on.

Enjoy making cards with the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits.

Rose Wonder Wedding Card

Make this Wedding Card with the Rose Wonder Bundle and Vellum.  This week’s posts will feature the Rose Wonder Bundle which included the Rose Wonder Photopolymer stamp set and the Rose Garden Thinlits.  Today’s card features the Rose Garden Thinlits and Glimmer Paper.
Rose Wonder Wedding CardSUPPLIES:
Rose Wonder Bundle #140804
Stamps:  Suite Sayings  Wood #140709, Clear #140712
  Tuxedo Black Memento
Card Stock:  Cherry Cobbler
Botanical Gardens Vellum #  (FREE Sale-a-bration item available until March 31, 2016)
Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper #
Big Shot:  Rose Garden Thinlits #140619 (See Bundle above)
Multipurpose Platform OR Magnetic Platform
Precision Base Plate #139684
Other:  Rhinestones Basic Jewels
Fine Tip Glue Pen
Glue Dots

1.  Cut your Cherry Cobbler card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.  Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
2.  Cut your Large Rose using the Thinlit and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.  It is recommended that you put the Sparkly side down and the Thinlit against the paper backing.  The sandwich I used was:  Magnetic Platform, Precision Base Plate, Glimmer Paper sparkly side touching the Precision Base Plate, Rose Thinlit, FLAT cutting plate.  The FLAT cutting plate is very important so all the thin lines and details get cut properly.  I found most of the pieces just fell out.  You can use the Big Shot Die Brush if your pieces need help coming out quickly.
3.  Cut your Vellum card front at 4″ x 5-1/4″.  Set aside.
Use small dots of the Fine Tip Glue Pen along all the thin lines of your Rose.  Too much glue will bleed out and stain your Vellum.  Attach to your Vellum piece.
4.  Stamp your saying using the Tuxedo Memento Black ink.
5.  Attaching your Vellum to the card base can be tricky.  I dotted a few places under the Rose and I just used 4 Glue Dots at the corners.  Apparently some of my Fine Tip Glue Pen dots were too big and bled to stain the card stock.  I also used Glue Dots at the corners and covered them with Rhinestones.
6.  If desired, cut a piece of 4″ x 5-1/4″ Whisper White to put in the inside of your card to write on.

This card was made for Melissa’s Bridal Shower.  Her Mom also helped me make 60 wedding invitation inserts and 100 Favor boxes using the Baker’s Box Thinlit die.  I forgot to take pictures though.  I will also be making her Bridal Bouquet so look for it to be posted next week some time as I still need to make it.

4.  Now to stamp on your Whisper White Oval.  You might also want to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig to get everything positioned just right.  Stamp “For the New Two” in Black ink.  Also stamp the flowers twice, both times in Black ink.  Color the small flowers with your Elegant Eggplant Marker.  Color the larger flowers with the Perfect Plum Marker.  Color the berries with the Blackberry Bliss Marker.  Color the leaves and stems with the Wild Wasabi Marker.  Attach your finished Whisper White Oval to the Scallop Elegant Eggplant Oval with Dimensionals.

Emily’s Wedding Card

This is the Wedding Card I made for my Church Choir Buddy and her new DH who were married on Friday.  This card was my inspiration.  I tried several other ideas but this is the card that got finished.  I may use some of the other parts soon as her sister is getting married in less than 3 weeks.
Emily's Wedding Card

Card Stock:  Real Red

Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper #135315

Punches:  Sweetheart Punch  #133786
Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack #133787 (small Heart)
Tools:  Envelope Punch Board #133774
Paper Trimmer
Other:  Tombow Glue
Glue Dots

1.  Cut your Real Red card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.  Score and fold at 4-1/4″.  Watch this video if you want more details on Basic Card Bases.
2.  Cut your Whisper White layer at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.  Run through your Big Shot with the Happy Heart Embossing Folder.  Trim the sides close to the Hearts with your Paper Trimmer.  Attach to card base with Tombow Glue.
3.  Make your Real Red Envelope with your Envelope Punch Board.  Cut your Real Red card stock at 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ square.  Make your first Punch and Score at 2″.  Watch this video if you need help using your Envelope Punch Board.
4.  I used the retired Expressions Thinlit for the word “Love”, but it is retired.  You can use either the Signo White Gel Pen or the Chalk Marker to write “Love” on the envelope.  You can also use a stamp you like or just leave it blank.
5.  Let’s die cut a couple of Heart Frames with our Framelits.  The large one is from Whisper White and is used to mount the Glimmer Hearts to.    I chose the largest straight-edged Heart Framelits.  Use this sandwich:  Magnetic Platform (or Multipurpose Platform with all tabs closed), a cutting plate, your Whisper White card stock.  Lay both the Heart Framelits with the smaller inside the larger making sure there is an even space in between.  The space in between will be your Heart Frame.
6.  Now choose the Framelits for the smaller Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper Heart.  I used the second and third smallest.  Use the same process as above and cut out this Heart Frame.  Use your Real Red Marker to color the edges so it will show up against the Whisper White background.
7.  Punch 10 Silver Glimmer Hearts and 10 Red Glimmer Paper Hearts using the Itty Bitty Accents Heart Punch.  Arrange the hearts around the Whisper White Heart Frame in the desired positions.  Attach each Glimmer Heart to the Frame with a Glue Dot.  Overlap the two Hearts that meet in the center.
8.  Now to put everything together.  Slide the large Heart Frame in the Real Red envelope to determine the position on the card front and where to add the Glue Dots to hold it in the envelope.  Put a Glue Dot at the bottom tip and one along each side of this Heart to secure it in the envelope.  I used Tombow Glue on the back of the envelope and the back of the Heart Frame that showed from behind to secure it to the card front.  Now attach your Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Heart inside the large Heart.
9.  If desired, you can add a piece of 4″ x 5-1/4″ Whisper White to the inside to write on.  You can either add a couple of Punched Glimmer Hearts, or some stamped Hearts to the lower corners.  Then write you message to the Bride and Groom.
10.  Gift Wrapping Hint.  If you give them two gifts of different sizes (such as a board game and a DVD OR Project Life Album and Pocket Pages with a Project Life Card Collection with the accessory pack inside the box), wrap the gifts separately.  Then use Sticky Strip to attach the gifts together.  This way they will stay in place even if you don’t tie ribbon around them.

1.  Cut your Real Red card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.  Score and fold at 4-1/4″.  Watch THIS VIDEO for more detailed instructions.

2.  Cut your Silver Fancy Foil Vellum with your Big Shot using the largest Scallop Oval Framelit.  Put a Glue Dot behind each silver heart.  Adhere Vellum Oval to card front making sure the hearts are the correct direction.  🙂

3.  Cut your Ribbons 7-8 inches long:
~One:  Cherry Cobbler 3/4″ Chevron
~Two:  Real Red 1/8″ Taffeta
~Two:  Silver 1/8″ Ribbon
Hold them together while tying a loose knot.  Position the narrow ribbons on the Knot if desired.  Now position the narrow ribbons over the Chevron Ribbon if desired.  If they don’t want to stay where you want them to just place a Glue Dot under the offending ribbon(s) near the knot.

4.  Punch out or cut out (with the desired size Heart Framelit) the Silver Glimmer Paper Heart.  Put Dimensionals on the back.  Stamp sentiment on Whisper White card stock with Real Red ink.  Punch out your sentiment with the Word Window Punch.  Run the brush tip of your Real Red Marker around the edge of your punched out sentiment if desired.  You can also do this around the Heart if desired.  It does add a little extra definition.  I didn’t do it on either this time.  Adhere the sentiment to the Heart with half Dimensionals.

5.  Lay your Ribbons and Heart in the desired positions.  Attach the Heart with the Dimensionals you put on the back.  Attach your Ribbons using 4-5 Glue Dots on the knot and next to the knot.

6.  Admire your silvery Wedding Card before writing in it and sending it off to the lucky couple.

“Love”ly Wedding or Anniversary Card

I have a couple of family anniversaries coming up plus a couple of weddings and I wanted to use the “Love” Expressions Thinlit.  I did two versions of the card with different colored layers.  Which color combination do you like best?

Look for a video on Wednesday showing how to use the Thinlit and place it on your card.  Friday there will be a video showing yout how to emboss the flap of your envelope so the receiver will know there is a really special card inside.
Love Wedding or Anniversary Card

Card Stock:  Basic Black
Real Red or Very Vanilla
Modern Medley Designer Series Paper (DSP)  #126926
Big Shot:  Expressions Thinlits Dies #132171
Deco Labels Collection Framelits #130102
Other:  White Stampin’ Chalk Marker #132133 (For writing on the inside)
SNAIL Adhesive
Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Tweezers-preferably the craft kind that stay closed and you pinch them to open them.

1.  Cut your Basic Black card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.  Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
2.  Cut your Modern Medley DSP at 4″ x 5-1/4″.  Adhere to card front with SNAIL.
3.  Cut two Deco Label Framlits in the desired sizes and colors.  I think I used the 2 medium sized ones.  Set aside.
4.  Steps 4 and 5 Video Link.  Cut “Love” in the desired color.  Gently poke the toothpick through the little holes in the flat side of the Thinlit.  Your word should easily come out.  If you have problems with it coming out use a piece of wax paper between the Thinlit and your card stock next time.
5.  Hold your “Love” with a pair of tweezers.  Spread a thin light layer of Tombow Glue on the back of your word.  Make sure the Glue is a thin layer or it will squish out and make a mess.  Hold your Gluey word above the smaller Deco Label and then gently lay in the desired position.  If you mess up, turn the Label over and try again.
6.  Layer your two Deco Labels together with Dimensionals.  Adhere them to the card front with Dimensionals.
7.  Write a Love Note inside using your White Stampin’ Chalk Marker.  It works just like a Markder without any of the frustration a Gel Pen sometimes gives us.
8.  Admire your “Love”ly Wedding or Anniversary Card.  You can mail it in a Very Vanilla Envelope.  I embossed the envelope flap with the new Beautifully Baroque embossing folder.

Boho Blossoms White on White Wedding or Anniversary Card

Tis the season for Weddings and I need a few Wedding and Anniversary cards.  It has been a while since a made a White-on-White Card.  This will be one of my swaps for Convention.  I had a couple of friends over yesterday to help me make 50 of them.  We got most of the parts completed, though I need to get a new Boho Blossoms Punch, more Ribbon and Pearls.

2.  Cut your Whisper White card front at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.  Round all the corners with your Corner Rounder Punch.  Run through your Big Shot using the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder.  Adhere to your card base with Tombow Glue.
3.  Cut your next layer of Whisper White card stock at 4″ x 5″.   Cut the one end using your Big Shot at the desired Adorning Accents Edgelit.  Use the coordinating Adorning Accents Embossing Folder and emboss about 1″ above the cut edge.  This rounded edge will be the bottom.  Round the upper two corners with your Corner Rounder Punch.
4.  Now for the Flowers.  Punch five sets of Boho Blossoms flowers from Whisper White card stock.  Slightly bend the flower petals upwards on each flower as you use it.  This will add some dimension to your project.    Use Glue Dots to adhere a large flower to a medium flower.  Repeat two more times.  Punch two Itty Bitty flowers.  Adhere each of these to another Medium flower.  Lay flowers in desired positions with larger flowers at the ends and in the center and smaller flowers inbetween the larger flowers.
5.  Stamp sentiment in Black StayzOn ink on the flower layer using your Stamp-a-ma-jig.
6.  Cut your Ribbon about 6″ long.  Position your Ribbon about 1/2″ below the top edge of your flower layer and adhere it with either SNAIL or Glue Dots.  (Mine is about 3/4″ below.)  Pinch the flat Ribbon in the center and adhere with a Glue Dot or two.  Tie a Bow.  Attach it to the center of your flat Ribbon using several Glue Dots on the back of the knot.  You may also need to use Glue Dots to position the bow parts and the Ribbon Tails in the desired position.
7.  You can finally adhere the Flower Layer to the embossed card front with Dimensionals.
8.  Now add your Basic Pearls as desired.
9.  Give this to a pair of Newly Wed’s or to a couple celebrating their Anniversary.  I will make another and use it for both!  Change the Sentiment and use it for a Birthday or other occasion.

Silver Beautifully Baroque Wedding Card

A friend of mine is getting married so I made a Silver Wedding Card using the Beautifully Baroque Stamp Set and Embossing Folder to coordinate with the Silver Gift Wrap.  I love the NEW Beautifully Baroque Stamp and Embossing folder.  I also decided to try sanding the Brushed Silver card stock.  It looks wonderful!  I hope you enjoy making one for someone special.

1.  Cut two pieces of Brushed Silver card stock at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ (card front) and 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ (card base).
2.  Emboss the 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Brushed Silver card stock with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder and your Big Shot.  Choose which side of the embossed card stock you want on front and sand it with the Sanding Block.  I found it worked best to use circular motions when sanding.  Brush off all sanding debris.  Adhere embossed card stock to card base.
3.  Stamp the large Beautifully Baroque image in VersaMark on Whisper White card stock.  Cover the VersaMark ink with Silver embossing powder.  Melt with Heat Tool.  Cut around embossed image with scissors.  Put Dimensionals on the back.
4.  Stamp the sentiment with Black StayzOn on Whisper White card stock.  Cut out with the Apothecary Art Framelit.  Put Dimensionals on the back.
5.  Put the Baroque Image and the Sentiment in the desired positions.  Remove Dimensional backings and adhere in place.
6.  Add Basic Rhinestones as desired.
7.  I added a 4″ x 5-1/4″ Whisper White card stock piece inside to write on.
8.  Admire your wonderful wedding card before giving to someone.

Wedding Scrapbook Pages. Which Version Do You Like Best?

Here are two versions of some My Digital Studio Scrapbook Pages of my daughter’s wedding.  It took me several tries to get the pictures right since I seem to put the same pictures on both pages.  But I finally found a variety of pictures that I liked and seemed to work well together.

The Wedding Colors were pretty close to Pacific Point and Green Galore.  So that will explain the color combination I chose.  I put Baja Breeze mats under all the photos.  The Green Galore photo mat just looked too “neon” to make me happy, although my daughter might have liked the look.  I knew I wanted several pictures of the bride and groom, a large family shot, and pictures of each of the children.  It was so nice having most of the family together.  My one son is in Germany and was having Student Visa renewal issues.  It sure takes a long time to get all the red tape taken care of-no matter what country you seem to be in.

I also tried a variety of embellishments before I came up with the hearts.  I tried the soft blooms in Very Vanilla.  I tried Paper Daisies which I recolored.  I also experimented and used a Green Galore Drop Shadow.  It did look pretty interesting against the Pacific Point card stock.  I then tried the hearts which I decided I liked best.  Just so you know, some images are in the bleed area.  So if I print these I will have to do a little rearranging and squishing things together.  That’s what I get for turning it off!

Version 1:  I had Drop Shadows on everything including the stamps and text.
Kathleen & Sterling 12x12 Version 1 page 1Kathleen & Sterling 12x12 Version 1 page 2Version 2:  My oldest daughter (the digital scrapbooking & Photoshop genius) suggested that I remove the Drop Shadows from the text and stamps since they don’t occur in real life.  (I have decided that I like them though, but still removed them for this version.)  She suggested I put punches under them if I wanted the Drop Shadows.  So I put punches under the “You Are Loved” hearts and put a small mat around the punch.  I removed the Drop Shadows from the stamps and text.

Delicate You Are Loved Wedding Card

I am behind on Wedding Cards so I made up a bunch of these.  You could use any color, but I was in a Real Red and White mood.  These were fairly quick.  I really enjoy the You Are Loved and Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp sets.  I cut out a lot of these Delicate Doilies.  Just follow the tips below to get good results.

1.  When cutting out Large Sizzlits use the newest cutting pads you have to get a good cut.  I also put printer paper underneath the Sizzlit.  Use a Stylus, Piercing Tool, or toothpick to poke the holes out after it is cut.  Clean the Sizzlit with your Piercing Tool to remove paper that sticks in the Die.
2.  Use the Large Scallop Edgelit and then the Delicate Designs Embossing folder.
3.  You can also use the Delicate Designs Embossing folder on the envelope flap to get them excited to see what is in the envelope.

Wedding Flowers for my Daughter

Here are photos of some of the flowers I did for my Daughter’s Wedding.  I had the help of Kathleen (my daughter-the Bride), Kristi (my daughter-in-law), and Vicky (Kathleen’s friend) to help me put together all the flowers.  We worked together to put together all the corsages and boutonnieres flowers.  I added the pin backs and barrettes.  I also made all the bows, except for one of the throw-away bouquets.

White on White Valentine or Wedding Card

I saw a Wedding card similar to this on Pinterest not made with Stampin’ Up! products.  I thought I could remake it using only Stampin’ Up! supplies.  I think it turned out well and at least has hearts and flowers on it like the original did.  Oh well,  I am not very good at following recipes well when I cook either.

Happy Valentine's Day
