INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Â Cut your Garden Green card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Â Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
2. Â Cut your Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper at 4″ x 5-1/4″. Â Adhere to card base. Â When I am making a card for a child under 8 I always use Tombow Glue to keep it together. Â I want the child to be able to hold and play with the card without it falling apart.
3. Â Now to make the car body. Â Cut a 1″ strip of Garden Green card stock. Â Use the 3rd from the largest Oval Framelit to shape your car. Â Now cut a diagonal to about 1″ from the front of the car. Â Sponge around the car edges with Smoky Slate ink. Â (I suppose you could just trim the 1″ strip to the design you want. Â I wasn’t feeling that patient though.)
4. Â Wheels and hubcaps. Â Punch two 1″ Circles from Basic Black card stock. Â Punch two 3/4″ Circles from Smoky Slate card stock. Â Emboss your Smoky Slate hubcaps with the Snowflake design from the Delicate Designs embossing folder. Â Center the hubcaps as desired in the embossing folder. Â Sponge the raised designs with Smoky Slate ink. Â Glue to the Wheels. Â Glue wheels to car.
5. Â Window. Â Punch half a 1″ Circle from Vellum card stock. Â Now use your 1″ Circle punch to punch a window shape using the punched half circle as the “Inside the car” part of the windshield. Â Sponge around the windshield with Smoky Slate ink. Â Use Tombow cover the part of the windshield that will be under the car.
6. Â Glue the car to the card front. Â Use only a drop of Tombow at the tip of the windshield. Â Use can use lots of glue under the card stock.
7. Â Stamp your sentiment in VersaMark. Â Cover with Black Embossing Powder. Â Remove excess embossing powder. Â Melt embossing powder with Heat Tool. Â Cut sentiment out with scissors. Â Glue to card front.
8. Â Vroom Vroom!!! Â Enjoy your cute Racing Car Birthday Card.
