I had a request for Gift Cards from my daughter and her husband to use for Date Nights since no family is close enough to babysit. Â So this is what my son-in-law is getting for Christmas. Â I made a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Gift Card Holder using some paper from the Spring Catalog. Â Enjoy your Sneak Peek!

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Â Score and fold an 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet of Raspberry Ripple card stock at 5-1/2″. Â This is your card base.
2. Â Cut your Primrose Petals card stock 5″ x 8″. Â Adhere on your Raspberry Ripple card front.
3. Â Cut your Pool Party card stock 4-1/2″ x 7-1/2″. Â Adhere on top of the Primrose Petals card stock.
4. Â Cut your More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper 3-3/4″ x 6-3/4″. Â You might want to sponge the edges first. Â The edges of the DSP come pre-sponged so only 2 sides of mine look sponged. Â Adhere it to your Pool Party card stock.
5. Â Use your Sizzlits Timeless Type Jr Alphabet to cut out the desired letters. Â Adhere with Tombow Glue. Â You could also use the brush tip of your Raspberry Ripple Marker to just write the desired words on the DSP.
6. Â Cut 2 Hearts from the Regal Rose card stock using your Hearts a Flutter Framelits or the Hearts Collection Framelits. Â Emboss one heart with the Houndstooth embossing folder and the other heart with the Petals-a-plenty embossing folder. Â Sponge them with Melon Mambo ink to emphasize the design. Â Adhere with Tombow Glue.
7. Â For the Inside of the card: Â Cut a piece of 3″ x 8″ piece of Primrose Petals card stock. Â Punch either a half a large oval or half a circle along one long edge, centering it along the edge. Â Use Tombow Glue or Sticky Strip along the other three sides and adhere it towards the bottom of the inside of your card. Â Write what you want on this piece. Â Insert Gift Card.
8. Â Now you can give a fun gift card to someone and they can keep it in a safe spot. Â It is large enough that is shouldn’t be easily misplaced. Â After all, when we give a gift card we do want the receiver to use it!
9. Â I mailed mine in a decorative bubble envelope I purchased and the postage was $1.10.
You can purchase most of these items (eventually) to make this Date Night Fund Gift Card Holder at My Online Store.
Happy Gift Giving and Christmas!
