Watch me make a Hot Foil Happy Birthday Card-Start to Finish. The whole process took about 30 minutes which included waiting time, getting tools and supplies, and putting things away between steps.

SUPPLIES:
Hot Foil System: Frames & Flourishes Hot Foil Dies (also part of a Stamp Bundle)
Classic Greetings Hot Foil dies
Gold Foil
Cardstock: Basic White cardstock
Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock
Bloom Boutique 12×12 Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP)
Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine: Frames & Flourishes Dies (part of Hot Foil Dies)
Ribbon: Crisp Cantaloupe 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon
Tool: Take Your Pick Tool with the Small Scoring Tip
Stampin’ Hot Foil System

INSTRUCTIONS:
1-Get Out Your Hot Foil System:
~Plug in the Hot Foil Platform. Wait about 6 minutes for it to heat up. Listen for the Beep.
2-Cut Your Hot Foil and Papers:
~Gold Hot Foil: 5″ x 5″
~Crisp Cantaloupe Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.
~DSP Print: 4″ x 5-1/4″
~Basic White Foiling Layer: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Have is a little larger than you need. It is hard to place it accurately.
3-After the Beep:
NOTE: Use your Take Your Pick Tool with the Small Scoring Tip to move things around on your HOT Platform. This will prevent burns.
~Lay your Hot Foil Dies on your Hot Foil Platform. The flat side should be down.
~Press the White Button to heat up your Dies. It will beep in about 1-1/2 minutes.
After the second Beep:
~Lay your Hot Foil on top of your Hot Dies with the shiny foil side touching the dies.
~Place your Cardstock over the foil, centering it over the dies the best you can.
~Now place your Green Hot Foil Shim on top, then your Clear Hot Foil Spacer.
~Unplug your Hot Foil Platform.
4-Finish the Hot Foiling Process:
~Gently move your Hot Foil Platform to your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
~SLOWLY crank you Platform through your Cut & Emboss Machine. ONLY GO FORWARD!!! Going backward will leave Foil Smudges on your cardstock. Not very pretty…
~Move your Hot Foil Platform back to its Silicone Platform.
~Remove the Shim and Spacer.
~Take off the Cardstock. Sometimes the Foil stays on the Dies. If not, peel the Foil off your cardstock.
~Admire the pretty Shine!
5-Make Your Card:
~Die cut your Frame using the coordinating cutting Die.
~Decide if and where you want your Ribbon.
~Put Tear & Tape on your DSP Print where you want your Ribbon. Leave some hanging over the edge to wrap around the back.
~Attach your Ribbon to the Tape. Leave about 6″ on each side for tying.
~Tie your Bow.
~Put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of your Foil Die Cut.
~Attach it to your DSP Print.
~Glue your DSP Layer to your Card Base.
